Is moving to IPv6 worth it?

  • The server I have with ovh has ipv6 setup, but only 1 of my VMS on it has an address. It's a lot harder to get your head around then it looks, no NAT. Firewall everything

    • Which web server software do you recommend?

  • I only use nginx now, the out of box footprint is tiny.

    add this deb https://packages.sury.org/nginx/ bookworm main to your /etc/apt/sources.list to install the latest stable

  • just an FYI, I have merged in the dev work for multi inverters and now get the generation from the inverter. If you have been using it on v0.0.3 then your home assistant will need some work to use the sensors, really sort for that 😥

    • Do you have perticular reason for choosing Tailscale over ZeroTier or vice versa?

  • I tried and zerotier and didn't understand it, so use tinc. My own network that meshes and is only my servers
