One of the reasons I was able to argue my ADHD was impacting my life negatively was the fact I was drinking enough coffee to hurt my health just to feel human and I still had executive dysfunction, so stimulants would be more effective and overall work as harm reduction. Now I'm not even on stimulants (technically), I'm finding bupropion works best for me. I still have a small cup of coffee in the morning, as it keeps me regular.
I'd personally prefer 12 months with 30 days each, a 6-day week (makes for even rotations in shifts, 4 on 2 off), and an inter-calary week of 5 to 6 days at the new year.
If we're going for broke on this I'd also want to convert to the dozenal system over decimal, as 12 is more easily divisible by smaller numbers which means easier division for numbers we use more often (like 3 or 4), which means that ¼ would be 0.3 and ⅓ would be 0.4.
I just don't understand why these little details are a big deal. If people want things and it doesn't hurt anybody then let them have it, who cares? If you want to label yourself trans because it communicates that you'd rather be something other than the gender assigned at birth, sounds good to me. The subsets of that are mostly details that explain how you're trans to someone curious. Why does it need to be more complicated than that?
I'm not sure they're self-sufficient anymore. If I remember correctly, that one study was from 20 years ago and was done by a right-wing think tank, and the trend for Texas was overall negative. They stopped that study basically right before Texas started breaking even.
Jazz has the same etymology, comes from jasm (meaning the same as jism, i.e. semen). At the time it also meant spirit/energy; spunk, or spunky, also had this dual meaning.
I like to bear in mind the lizardman's constant when reading about polls like this. Never underestimate people's desire to fuck with data, sometimes just because they think it's funny.
As I've gotten older, it's not even just the worldview anymore, the body can look attractive but one look at the face and if the woman is young enough it's an immediate turn-off.
