  • With steam for me it took longer to connect, it was harder to set up and the stream itself had noticeable artifacts and lag.

With sunshine & moonlight my lag is 1 ms, it connects instantly and I can stream in 4K HDR. Like I said it's so high quality that I often forget I'm streaming the game.

Plus moonlight is free and open source. Takes maybe 5-10 mins to set up. I was skeptical because it's FOSS, but it's easily the streaming solution I've tried for gaming.

This is on Windows over LAN, I haven't tried it over the internet.

  • Give me a fucking break. These people have bombed hundreds of abortion clinics, burnt down mail ballot boxes, and mass murdered people at grocery stores (Buffalo), gay night clubs (Pulse), churches (Charleston) and local newspaper offices (Annapolis) for years. They stormed Congress and killed cops. Multiple Democratic offices were shot up during the 2024 campaign season.

Right wing violence is so normalized in the US that they've managed to brainwash you into thinking this is some kind of escalation, when it doesn't even come close to the level of widespread violence of the right. Stop letting them get away with it.

  • As far as I'm aware, Biden controlled most of the campaign money at least initially. either way it's still a pretty weak excuse for Harris.

Biden really fucked us in so many ways though, I'm happy to blame him for losing the election as well. I mean he was the one who thought gaslighting us about the economy was a winning move, he put Harris in a terrible position to begin with. Not to mention deciding to run again in the first place, appointing a Trump collaborator as AF, refusing to exercise his power, etc etc

  • I hate this argument. Every mass civil resistance movement carries an implicit threat of violence. That doesn't mean you have to follow through on the violence in order for the movement to succeed

There's a reason most democracies enshrine the right to assemble in their constitutions, and it's because the act of assembly scared the shit out of the ruling classes that stood in the way of republicanism, so they made sure to punish it severely.

  • These comments are so ridiculous. People don't just get up and revolt, it takes a fucking lot to get that point.

Peaceful resistance is much more effective at this stage, as much as I wish this madness would just go away, and as much as I wish the resistance was stronger in the US.

Any revolt right now would not have enough support to succeed. It's a stupid idea being spammed by angry keyboard warriors who wouldn't walk the walk if the shoe were flipped. You're full of shit.
