  • There will definitely be few content creators who post to PeerTube, if they are dependent on ad revenue. Those creators that are not, have a much easier time posting to PeerTube, because they essentially expand their reach.

  • Thanks for letting me know! Not sure why I missed this one.

  • The woman the spammer pretends to be.

  • And as far as I am told, it’s not actually her, but some stalker who pretends to be the woman in the live stream.

  • It’s just a loop. Not an actual live stream.

  • I think a lot of people received that message.

It’s a weird case. I got contacted on PeerTube about this person, pretending to be the woman in the picture. The impersonator keeps a live stream running on PeerTube of her, in a loop. I think it’s their 5 account now, on a different PeerTube server, still trying to keep the live stream going.

I was told the person is unhinged and the police is also involved in some way or another.

  • Selling Matrix as as discord alternative is not honest, if you ask me. A real alternative would be something like Revolt.chat

  • MakerTube has some of the best content creators on the Fediverse!

  • Framasoft recently changed the description from "instance" to "platform". I've made that more clear in the post.

If you scroll down to the bottom of this page: https://peertube.wtf/about/instance, you can see some statistics. Also, you can go to this page: https://peertube.wtf/about/follows and see who follows PeerTube.wtf and which platforms PeerTube.wtf follows.

  • And when it suddenly doesn’t work, it’s somehow your fault πŸ˜…

  • I really miss her videos on Linux. I think she really pushed Linux content at LMG.

  • That would probably be the platform with the highest number of followers and/or with highest number of users. You can see that at the bottom of the /about page.

  • Monetization does not align with the principles of the Fediverse imho. Donations can help, but I don't believe that's sustainable either. I can do this because I have the time and the money. I wouldn't recommend doing this, if you had to rely on donations or monetization.

  • By working at my day job.

  • I think this is possible with the Remote Runners. You could setup two Runners on your machine, each configured to use GPU1 and GPU2 fx.

  • I’ll look into it.

  • Unfortunately you have to register your account again.

I’ll probably post here on Lemmy, but also via the broadcast function in PeerTube.

Possibly also a Mastodon account at some point.

  • True, but I wouldn’t want to have a wallen garden, like Instagram or Twitter, where it forces you to create a user.
