  • That’s not exactly true. Some multiplayer games doesn’t work because the anti-cheat is not made to work on Linux.

  • On Mint, flatpaks is enabled in the Mint software center.

  • Definitely go Linux Mint. Especially if it's your first time with Linux.

  • Some distro's still require you to setup those things yourself and in the terminal.

  • I don’t see why the Fediverse can’t be run as non-profit and by volunteers. We are 8 billion people on this planet. I’m sure we can handle it.

  • The Sims 4 is gold on ProtonDB, so it should run just fine. Check out some of the comments in ProtonDB about running the game, if not purchased through Steam.

    Edit: Start out with Linux Mint. It’s very user friendly.

    I have myself setup a mirror of the official Guild Wars 2 channel, so I can watch their videos on PeerTube. I haven’t asked, but I don’t think they have a problem with the free advertisement.

    Best people can do is convince creators on YouTube to also post their content to PeerTube, as well as engage with their audience on PeerTube.
