I’d test drive it for you if I could! (I really miss mild Indian food)
But Aldi products get a lot of informal reviews so I recommend having a google around. I found some but not sure about etiquette of linking FB or the other place.
If you’re not a spice fan and unsure whether you’ll like it it might be better to make your own version to avoid ruining anything you put it on. Tinned tomatoes and spice packets are cheap. Or buy it and first try a smear on toast to avoid throwing out a meal.
Otherwise buy a tub of Greek yogurt to mix in or blend with some cheap fruit for a lassi. Yogurt and milk in general have a cooling effect because the fat insulates your mouth from the spicy oils, and Greek yogurt tends to be creamier and fattier.
If you’re worried about it not being spicy enough… I don’t know, never had that problem but you can add heat.
Thanks for the offer! I’ve managed to create bootable installations and install them before, and run simple commands, but tended to skip this step. It’s not a problem with directions either, I faithfully followed the verification guide which worked. The numbers just don’t match.
I’m going to double check. It looks like I went to linuxmint.com and chose Cinnamon.
And when the numbers didn’t match I tried mirrors (which claimed to be from reputable sources like universities and looked legit) to do the sha hashing steps on those too.
Seems in March someone on linux.org was talking about bad isos, I’mma read through and see if they found a solution.
Ugh because of size I’m being forced to upload videos to OneDrive to email them to the vet (Melbcat crying - feat my messy mid clean house) and it keeps failing to upload. I hate Microsoft and OneDrive. I didn’t get to sort that issue either.
Never get sick and fall behind on things folks. You just do not get out of the weeds.
I’m going to give it to them on thumb drive if I have to.
(Old issue I didn’t deal with because sidetracked)
Hey I want to install Linux on an old outdated computer so I can use it, but a guide is asking me to verify the iso file and no matter the source I try the numbers don’t match.
This really held up what should be a simple process but I don’t want to install from a file that has potentially been altered.
Getting through things in chunks. The dishes are washed and the grotty ones are getting a bleach soak. If I can still smell bleach at all after rewashing them though that’s a tactical yeet.
I’ve got a bag of clothes for the op shop and one for a workwear charity. I’ve put them by the door and moved the unwanted tv there too. (If the built in dvd player doesn’t work it’s no use to me. Sell.)
Someone cancelled tomorrow so there’s some time to sweep.
Agreed Ensure gets old very quickly and Fortisip is even more intensely sugary. Vom. One way is to make a cup of coffee as usual and pour in a swig of Ensure as if it were a coffee creamer. It dilutes it to a more bearable level. Decaf coffee with vanilla Ensure probably tastes a little bit like a fancy Starbucks coffee.
Also I hope I’m not overstepping but I would really suggest some supports for you. Not kidding.
Caregiving (which is what you’re doing) can be incredibly difficult and it can have a severe lasting effect on your physical and mental health.
Particularly for informal care which doesn’t have built in protections, supports, or breaks for the person doing the care. Particularly if it’s someone you’re close to. Particularly if everyone else is stepping back and putting the onus on you to manage everything.
I wonder if some kind of home support package might come in a bit sooner. But also I know there are many things not in your control and post-release care isn’t always great
Get up and disturb her by pulling the jacket corner she’s got trapped? Toot. Paying attention to vidya? She walks over the keyboard and crop dusts right under my nose.
You might like chip shop curry or Japanese curry. I’ve never had either but they’re said to be milder
