There’s a vet appointment for Melbcat today that I have to decide whether I’m going to keep. I’ll ring and ask.
Edit: Nope, the vet will discuss the results today in consult. Guess after morning meds I’m scraping up the energy to shower and get ready. At least it’s one who’s seen us before.
I tidied a bit yesterday and did one load of laundry but there’s more to go then I have to wash the cups and sweep. Melbcat was sick in the wee hours this morning so I’ll soak that with enzyme cleaner.
My box of antibiotics with a few pills left has racked off into the ether so I’m just going to start the newest box. These are three times daily -_-
Between being careful of my sus tooth socket (which better not be getting infected) and my stomach starting to shut down again I can barely eat anything. My mental health is crumbling.
Oh damn, that changes things. I did wonder why she kept in such close touch with her ex (?) husband and in-laws if they were separated but maybe there was an element of control that I didn't know about. Perhaps they threatened to go to court pursuing grandparents rights if she left and she tried to take out as many family members as possible to avoid them acting as flying monkeys.
I've now seen there was tension and 'dad doing things to hurt mum' but the article is paywalled.
I used to microwave potat and then smash it with a fork and stir through marg/oil, salt and pepper, and paprika. Mash a mini tin of tuna in. Or I would fry the pieces to crispy and push them over to fry an egg.
Edit: I liked sweet paprika but the smokey kind was extra good
This fatigue is debilitating -_- Fell asleep with the old kitten after doing her supper/meds and lying down for a brief rest. Was quite late with my antibiotics.
The pumpkin vines are looking quite sad so I’m just leaving them and the tomatoes to finish up. I still haven’t had any energy to fill the compost bin and wondering if those will be fit to go in due to disease but I need to sort the higher priorities first.
Got a new vet today and he refused to perform cystocentis due to Melbcat having had 2 recently (?). Sent us home with pain relief to get a sample the traditional way despite how hard and unreliable it is with her.
Cut to Melbcat being very sooky and unwell tonight, getting a sample hours after closing but being unsure when she did it, and having to uber the dodgy sample in tomorrow while exhausted with no supports on. I’m going to ring the clinic on opening tomorrow and ask that antibiotics be dispensed when I bring it in because she absolutely has a uti.
If he had just listened to me she could have begun treatment tonight 😒
Tooth yeeted. Thank goodness. A little worried about what the pain will be like and hoping it heals without complications but fingers crossed this gets it sorted.
Melbcat won’t eat her 4cyte in food and it’s an oil so is dangerous to syringe into her mouth while she fights it.
::: spoiler spoiler
(You’re not supposed to give oil or paraffin based medicine to kids or animals that are struggling because of the risk of them breathing it in.)

And I was hesitant because I wasn’t sure of some random plant oil and thought something else would work better. Only bought the 4cyte on vet recommendation. I might try and get that money back guarantee and buy something different.
Edit: Ah shit. I’m within the 30 days but didn’t buy it from the vet, got it from Petcircle, so not eligible for money back. If you buy this get it from the vet and keep the receipt.
