I got a decent thick fleece jacket at the op shop but washed it repeatedly trying to get the fabric softener perfume out and now it’s looking a little worse for wear :(

At least I also got a button up shirt and a woven cotton blanket which are like hens teeth now

I tried the Aldi night cream I used to use but it stung so they changed it.

Guess I just keep layering unscented body lotion over the Cerave lotion (it’s a little too light but I dislike their thicker creams)

I had a bit of a brainwave. The pet ramps and steps from Kmart aren’t great and the op shop didn’t have much destroyable that suited…

But Big W has a $180-ish recliner. It will be low quality and small and will get scratched up from brand new, but the leg support part could be walked up like a ramp. It’s something the old baby could easily get up and down from without jumping and hurting herself. I would pay that much for a cat tree if she could comfortably use it.

We’ll see. I’ll decide if there’s room and maybe sell the unwanted dishwasher and tv. Maybe I could sew some heavy duty fabric reinforcement over the sides to absorb the claws wrath.

It’s petty but I just don’t like her. Or rather her whole music and image/attitude rub me up the wrong way

Ah… maybe the extra pain relief yesterday was a bad idea. Melbcat was in a fair bit of pain through the night because after she’d had it she felt able to jump up and down from the chair which aggravated her arthritis.

I might put something on the chair so she can’t until I get the pet steps

Microwave mug cakes. I’d suggest hot chocolate or something to use it faster but choc chips are designed to hold their shape and don’t melt well
