  • So signaling in each curve of the road? /s

  • The company I used to work at sometimes rented out their conference room to other companies for large conferences.

One day some people rent the room, and start bringing in some suitcases. Thinking they might have some involved presentation, nobody asked questions. A few more people came and went, until suddenly the police raids the place.

Turns out those people robbed a museum a few weeks earlier and tried to sell the stolen historical art pieces in that conference room.

  • The delta P you're talking about has much much higher ambient pressure than what is the case here.

And even underwater there is a limit to delta P.

  • Yeah but I feel like most adults would have had pressure sensitive ears at some point in the life (like from a cold or something), forcing them to learn about popping ears, even if the only way of doing it they know is swallowing.

  • Its a day old post, are you sure it's a repost and not just the same post you saw yesterday?

  • People dont get what you mean with "popping your ears"? How can an adult never experience that?

  • Mine just had one scan, but otherwise same

  • The least sexy thing in your post is how miserable your sister seems to be.

Humor is sexy. If a woman won't date you because you took that photo as a joke, you're dodging a bullet.

  • It isn't?

Sure, consumption means creating demand, but it's not directly harmful for the child. There is definitely much more wiggle room than when talking about straight up abuse or creating material.

I'd be inclined to agree that pedophiles should not get access to CSAM, and even just owning some should be an offense. I am open to discussion with professionals though, if they say it will be helpful and deliver a good argument, I'd be open to change my opinion. Which makes this a grey area IMO

  • I've been jobless for a year and recently found a job again as well. After my first day I was so exhausted, it was unbelievable. I literally came home after work, made and had some food, chilled on discord with a friend for an hour and was already too tired, so I went to bed after being awake for about 12h.

Starting a new job, a new chapter of your life is exhausting. You learn a lot of new things, you get a lot of new impressions. All this requires the gray matter in your skull to work pretty hard.

Now, even with mentally demanding jobs, you'll form routines that make things easier. Not just stuff like a morning routine or your route to work, but also work processes become easier after you get into the groove. On top of that, with time there are less new things you need to remember, like names of your coworkers, your offices layout, or what bus to take.

It gets easier with time. Hang in there.

  • When you're renting, you're always also paying this tax indirectly. Functionally it's a tax for having a roof over your head, whether you own it or not*. So it has nothing to do with ownership.

I guess you can argue somewhere in the direction of "tax is theft", but that's a different discussion.

*kinda opposing my previous statement, I guess it would be more accurate to say that paying the tax directly to the government is kind of a proof of ownership.
