  • They should also fly the swastika in Germany since it’s “part of their history” according to that logic. Italy should wave the fascist flag from Kindom of Italy as well.

San Francisco was never even in the fucking confederacy. What possibly reason is there to fly it (except to use it to gain political points with racists)?

  • Just assume everybody harvests your data. There’s no way to prove that they’re not liars and just doing it anyway.

There are several examples of companies and government agencies that have been caught doing things and retaining data they shouldn’t - only after a breach released all the info.

Home Depot wasn’t supposed to store credit cards but they did it anyway in violation of PCI, for example.

  • They don’t do the bomb threats themselves, but they’re certainly aligned with the terrorist interests and policy goals. They also “hold their noses” and vote conservative anyway.

They’re not evil; they just vote for, support the policies of, and are aligned with evil.

  • I don’t think there’s anything you can reasonably do today to stop the privacy invasiveness. They can always use an Amazon Sidewalk-ish communication method. You’d have to faraday cage the damn thing.

  • The average age of cars on the road in America today is 12.5.

They better be attractive in 10 years or they won’t have an easy time with initial sales. The EV glut on dealer lots right now is representing that now - ICE vehicles are backlogged but EVs are plenty (but overpriced for their longevity).
