  • Based on my LinkedIn and various market segments each of my friends on their is in… I’d agree we’re in one. Lots of talented people suddenly looking for a job. The question for me is how long is this going to be a recession, and dumbass leads me to believe it’ll be 3 years and like 10 months of this bullshit.

  • Teslas are not upper class. They’re cheap, shitty cars. The handful of people driving Cybertrucks are paying 100k, but that’s not because they’re upper class, they’re just financially irresponsible.

  • Now $1250 to fix since parts tariffs are coming in May. As an owner of an AMG this is annoying and while I have the money to ignore these impacts it’s still frustratingly stupid that it’s even happening at this level. Every part to repair my car usually has to be shipped from Germany which means you and I will be paying more.

Also, new German cars are mostly touch screens and capacitive buttons. So they need frequent electrical components when they fail.

Also, 99% of German car buyers were the same people paying double for a G wagon during COVID and are now so upside down in their loan that the cars are falling like a rock for pricing. Those people have jobs that generally depend on a healthy economy…

  • Telling someone to “get to the back of the bus” while in the same comment trying to say Race didn’t play a factor is some major yikes.

Hilary Clinton was also “cruising” at those ranges and lost too… because of the electoral college and middle America. Considering you make racist ass statements I wouldn’t expect you to understand the intricacies or Misogyny and race as a factor into Kamala. I’m not even a supporter of her. I called her losing the second they announced she was the new candidate.

  • Nebraska gets one electoral vote per 400k people. California gets 1 per 731k. Nebraska gets two senators to represent 2 million people while California gets two senators to represent 39.5 million people.

Stop acting like this is some moment of Nebraska having progressive clarity. It isn’t. Had states like Nebraska with unproportional representation actually voted for more progressive candidates we wouldn’t be in this boat. But sure, bemoan the states who have tried to do something but can’t because of an antiquated system. Even though nothing would have changed since Trump also won the popular vote this go around anyways.

Also, Kamala didn’t lose because she was a moderate. She lost because she’s a mixed race woman. Not saying progressive policies aren’t my values and aren’t appreciated, but people want to look at Kamala and think we lost because she had a middle ground personality rather than the harsh reality that the voter base isn’t ready for a mixed race woman to lead the country.

  • What’s worse is how this will-he-won’t-he of making tariffs permanent and using them is causing businesses to also not import needed and desired products for fear that they could have a tariff removed at which point we have effectively purchased something for 25% more that we then can’t explain to the end consumer. People think it’s an on-off, but when products were purchased and brought in with a tariff that may no longer be effective it just makes for bad business.

  • When the FUCK did I claim to be a one man army? Holy shit my dude. I simply said I’m trying to convince my other progressive/liberal friends to arm themselves and keeping myself armed. If I thought I was a one man army I wouldn’t be trying to get them to arm themselves. Your point doesn’t stand because it’s coming from an assumption that you’ve made not from truth

  • My house isn’t intended to be a point of battle… I think you’re mistaking being prepared for something and talking about that preparation compared to building up full caches. Which I have no reason for. Look more to examples of Ukraine in the early parts of the war. That’s a rough idea of what I’d expect modern warefare/civil war. So having enough to fight off something potentially localized is important, but not the end. Being quiet on these matters is how we have ended up in this shit position.

  • Outside of his bump stock ban that couldn’t be farther from an actual reality. There are many, many stupid things that man will do. Taking away guns is definitely not one of them. I’m all for pointing out the insanity of this administration, but we cannot become crazy conspiracy nuts like MAGA. Trump will ruin the economy and make it so people can’t afford guns, but take them away… not at all.

  • That MAG have lots of guns? That I’m prepared to defend exactly what my constitution says? Or that I’m armed? Because all of them are things I would advertise. People need to learn that progressives/the left are armed too.

  • My wife thought I was crazy, she might have been partially right, but during Covid when people stoked up on TP I was stocking up on ammo. I told her I didn’t trust the current admin (Trump) to actually do enough and worried about a devolving system. I feel it even more with Trump 2.0… I’ve been telling all my progressive friends to go to the range and arm themselves. Those guns are floating in the hands of a ton of MAGA-folk and I don’t trust them.

  • I think for the longest time the worry was that it would potentially be a NATO conflict. With Trump throwing everything out and them threatening to pull the US out of NATO I do sort of hope that gives Europe a reason to fight.

  • Oh 100%. I’m not ignorant to our complete takeover by morons and the allowing of it that people have here in the states. I’m just saying we’re not the only ones. Especially since it’s happening in countries with “better education” than us. Which means Americas crappy education system isn’t the real problem like the original comment was saying
