Yup, it’s part of why the idea of rescuing them was never going to happen either. There’s only something like 3 subs in the world that can dive to that depth and they weren’t close enough nor built for rescue missions. Even if they were alive they only had 3 days worth of oxygen. Honestly they’re lucky that the “sub” just imploded rather than dealing with the slow loss of oxygen.

There are some things I’m good at, and some things that I might be decent at, but would take me longer than a 99 cent download. 😅 it wasn’t worth my time after that.

I’ll always repeat this to everyone as my go to.

For starters don’t count yourself out. If it says college degree or cert required and you don’t have it, apply anyways. I ignore them every time and 99% of the time I get an interview.

For resumes/CVs make sure to copy and paste some of the language they use in the job description or post. Try to blend it into things you have done or the hobbies you do.

Don’t forget to also use references that are actually pertinent to the job. Your previous boss is a good one, but so are people who work in that field that can vouch for you. Don’t be afraid to actually ask people you know and name drop where you can.

Interviewing is a skill. Take notes, take time to answer questions, drink some water. Acknowledge interviewers and their questions and always try to stay on track of their question. Sometimes I have stories for my answers and at the end I like to bring it back by repeating the question and then explaining how that story answered it.

Lastly be reliable and helpful at your job. People don’t care if you don’t answer work calls or texts after hours, but they do care if you take initiative to help and ask occasionally if there’s something you can do to help. Don’t over work yourself, and remember to shit on company time, but do try to make an impact on key people so you can keep crawling up this shitty capitalist ladder.

Also, checkout Etsy for some good Google doc templates. I paid like 99 cents for a great resume and CV template that looks way better than I could have done in a few hours. I keep my resume, reference letters, any important job docs, and a spreadsheet of references in a Google drive folder (OneDrive, Dropbox, other cloud services work too obviously).

The idea being “show me a 10ft wall and I’ll build a 12ft ladder.” It worked well against a lot of article and news outlet paywalls originally, but as time has gone on more and more sites are starting to show up on it as unable to bypass.

Full auto guns can be purchased. Most often they’re prior 80s ban guns. They’re older generally, although there are some newer full auto guns that have been hitting the market lately. They all require you to have full background checks and they’re serialized to match. The ATF is the one though that you have to register through to legally acquire one and from what I’ve heard it’s kind of a bitch to get approval on them (as it should be).

I don’t think this girl or her grandma went to Gaza of their own accord. Bringing people into an area you’re going to make a war zone after an attack still makes you at fault for their death.

My first “smart watch” was a pebble and I still think it was the best. People want everything to do everything these days rather than pebble which did watch stuff well and for days without charging, while simply showing you phone notifications. It wasn’t complex, didn’t offer a ton of extras, but it just worked well.

The glasses one has to be the worst one up there. If I found a library card on the ground and the first thing I saw was glasses on a book I would walk past it. It doesn’t convey any information with a quick glance. I can’t read any of the book text, but I imagine it doesn’t say “Fullerton public library.” So it would just look like some kind of bible leaflet that you see on the ground in Vegas that when you pick it up either has nudes on the other side or a bible verse of how I’m gonna go to hell.

Wasn’t Raytheon owners of the largest quantum computer at one point and was talking about how their drones were preparing to use or using AI? It’ll probably be the US’ dumbass defense contractors that do it first. At least we made some really cool weapons before they killed us…

Ha, you think we need an excuse in the US to attack? We most likely won’t do anything right now, but it’s just some political grandstanding.

But why though? Like, the major complaint people have with Windows now is that it’s starting to advertise. They need to consistently provide updates and security patches, and the consumer has clearly shown it’s willing to pay subscriptions. This is kind of a blending of that. As long as they remove the advertising, and keep their “AI” out of my files I’d actually be happy paying for Windows again just like the “old” days except as a subscription. If it means that every windows install doesn’t come with Candy Crush and other bloatware I’d actually chalk this up as a win for consumers rather than the “free” windows right now that’s ad ridden and full of trackers.

Of course the realist in me also knows though that they’d fuck it up and make you pay while tracking everything, but I’d rather have an either or.
