  • Have y’all seen an old iPhone display? It looks terrible. It’s pixelated and has this sort of holographic shimmer to it from the crappy glare and screen overlay. Anyways, all that to say that we have to start somewhere. Foldable phones are definitely cool and useful. The problem has been we haven’t had many useful types of foldable phones. I’d trust Apple to get the implementation right and make it feel comfortable and cool to flip between regular and folded.

  • The people are being represented in some ways and it’s more complex than “don’t send weapons.” Most likely polling for Biden team is showing that swing states have voters who support the Israeli military and so throwing their support behind it benefits them. Plus it helps a geopolitical ally of ours. Whether it’s the right thing or not isn’t my point, simply that there’s more to this and that technically by some polls it is widely supported. Other polls have it not as supported, but I’d bank on the Biden team knowing where to throw weight and where to give in.

  • The US has provided as much military aid as all other countries combined… read my comments and you’ll see I want more aid sent to them, but to act like this is both on our hands when Europe and other allies around the world and in NATO aren’t picking up the slack is insane and stupid. US funding allowed Ukraine to get this far, and I want to see them win back their land and negotiate peace again for the region, but this is NOT a USA issue of supplying by a long shot.

  • The HSR going through the Central Valley of Cali is INSANE. the bridge and strip of it is infrastructure that area and region has legitimately never seen. I keep telling all of my friends and family here in Cali that once you can travel from Stockton to Bakersfield in 45-1 hour it’ll completely change the region. The massive economic boom from just the construction alone will be huge, but then the effect after will be felt for generation.

  • Have you ever talked with some of them? My whole damn family is full of this exact type of person. Do you not remember how many of those people were willing to bomb multiple countries for 20+ years just to hunt down Osama Bin Laden?

The Biden admin is joining Israeli aid with Ukrainian aid. They’re trying to get some on the right to pass aid for Israel so we can fund Ukraine.

  • Middle America. Specifically people in purple states. Biden is coming into an election that’s sounding like it’s going to be won by 5 votes or lost by a million. He’s trying to win support in swing states. Unfortunately those swing state voters tend to be union guys, who are more conservative. They like a blue collar guy, but they want him to have hardline stances on things. We’re hearing conflicting things from this administration for a reason. A veto on the UN makes headlines and sounds like the US is being supportive, but we’re also hearing about back room conversations where the administration is voicing their disapproval of the bombing and threatening to withhold funding. I imagine if this was before the war in Ukraine we would see a different reaction by the Biden Administration. Plus Israel gives us a launch point into middle eastern operations.

  • The efficiency trade off of a chest freezer is often broken by people’s inability to remember what’s in it. If you can’t reach the stuff at the bottom then it all goes bad. This is why an upright most likely makes more sense, even though it’s less efficient. You end up wasting as much food simply from forgetting what’s in there.

  • We have tons of shelters in the US too. Talk to any homeless person though and they’ll tell you they don’t use the shelter because it either: forces them to not use drugs, splits up a family, has lots of sexual assaults going on, or has more health related problems than it’s worth.

  • The Silverado is my scale. That’s why I mention its size.

The Suzuki Carry, which has a tire size of 145/70r12. That’s a diameter of 20 inches. The tire looks to be about 3x the bed length of the Kei Truck. I think it’s closer to 2.75xs the tire, but at 3x it’s still 5ft.

I’m mentioning sizes of things for scale. It provides us with a way of identifying the potential length.

  • I’ve been thinking a good business idea would be to make “restomod” Rangers. With luxury interiors and new engines with more fuel efficient setups. People do want them, but the chicken tax and CAFE makes it so Americans have no choice in trucks.

  • The sanbar has a horizontal door handle, not a vertical door handle.

IF (and again, based on the wheel in the bed of that truck I’m saying it’s sub 5ft in length) that bed was 6ft that also means it’s not the same size. Which still means that information in the post is inaccurate.

Kei trucks are limited to a maximum length of 3.4 m (134 in), a maximum width of 1.48 m (58 in). At a maximum length it would be half the size of the Silverado, which is definitely isn’t. A Silverado with the crew cab and 5.5ft bed is 242in in length and 81 inches in width.

  • This person might be a little confused as those beds are definitely not the same length. They might be consuming the mid-size truck 4.5ft bed as the length of that Silverado. I’m being generous to that smaller truck if it has a 4.5ft bed, but the Silverado has a 5.5ft bed standard and also has a wider bed. Specifically greater than 4ft between wheel wells making transporting of standard sized plywood and drywall super easy. Carrying 6 people too is also something that smaller truck isn’t doing, nor is a high towing capacity like 15k pounds. Does the average America need that? Most likely not, but to claim they’re the same is disingenuous.

You can tell the about size by the tire. Considering a standard 5.5ft American truck bed could easily accommodate 4 tires laying down flat and still have plenty of left over space both width and length while this truck seems to struggle with one. Again, 4 tires could fit in the small one standing up, but this comparison is apples to oranges. Both fruits, but different categories.

  • I work in education so this obviously hits close to home. However the video from inside the school with “the sounds of children’s screaming has been removed” at the beginning is still one of the most haunting lines. It truly makes me angry. That these fat fucking bastards sat out there. That they did nothing for an hour plus. That they could clearly hear children screaming if the camera can pick it up. The audacity of them to lie and say “the kids were so quiet we didn’t know they were in there.” When the video they released says otherwise.

What made it worse was the 911 call of the little girl in the classroom. She tells the dispatcher that there’s lots of injured kids. How she’s hiding by covering herself in the blood of other children to try and “appear” dead. You can hear the little girl telling classmates to stay quiet and telling them the police are there, but we know they don’t do shit.

This wasn’t a failure. A failure is something we could fix. All 116 officers need to be charged and held responsible. Parents of the dead and injured should be allowed to vote on what they think is fair punishment for all 116. This shouldn’t have happened, it shouldn’t have lasted as long as it did, and these lazy, pathetic excuses for humans that stood around and did nothing should be punished.

My only wish is that they would release the video with no editing. The people need to hear it. They didn’t do shit after Sandy Hook because they didn’t release the crime scene photos for fear it was too obscene. Clearly the American voting public wants dead kids, so they should be made to hear them and see them. Their inaction on gun policy lead to these actions in classrooms.
