Great, win more, in more places, for more significant periods of time, and actually show accomplishments, then we can talk about it being a better alternative.

It will only make a difference when third party candidates run for something other than president, where that party can establish a track record of getting something done in local and regional venues. Only coming out every 4 years does nothing to sway non-3rd party voters, particularly when it’s people like Jill Stein who very clearly demonstrate their sense of ethics isn’t any better and they’re just as likely to act in their own financial self-interests, and essentially dupe their voters into donations that get misappropriated. She’s even had at least one judge say as much in a ruling against her after the last election. We’ve been explaining this for many elections now, but you just don’t listen. Until then, 3rd party votes just amount to spoilers.

Huh, I’ll definitely look into that. Both times I tried to route external pihole access, somehow other mystery services found it and it slowed to a crawl from getting absolutely pounded by requests not from me. Thanks for that tip!

Except that, as I’ve already mentioned, I have two piholes, and sometimes both will be receiving requests. Based on your description, the second would never receive requests as long as the first is online. Perhaps this is router dependent, but it’s what I’ve observed.

Pretty much. Not sure how the router determines which DNS to use, but mine seems to latch onto whichever one serves up results the fastest, which would inevitably be cloudflare direct after the pihole returns enough blocks.

So I use a Raspberry Pi Zero W as a dedicated pihole, and my Pi 4 seedbox acts as its own pihole and as a redundant backup. Then use gravity-sync from the Zero to the 4 to mirror the settings.

I would avoid it, as it may use the alternate instead of the pihole at anytime. If you want redundancy, it’s best to have a second pihole.

Open hose sounds about right. I don’t know if we’ve hit 3” per hour yet or not, I think it was at 2” or a little over a couple of times. It sounds like it’s slowing down now but it’s been doing that all day. You think it’s about done and then it comes around for another pass.

The wind has been going hard, rain has been coming down almost sideways for a good portion of today. I haven’t seen reports yet, but if it keeps up like this we’ll probably have more road closures upcountry from uprooted trees and maybe mud slides overnight.

All true. Last election I had a hand injury that affected my signature so I took it in person to the county elections office, where they verified it was me by my ID.
