  • The fact that megafires are here to stay and probably worsen with every year makes that 1.5c almost impossible due the amount of CO2 it releases.

  • On one side my experience with Wayland and gaming couldn't be smoother since I switched to AMD.

However anything related to ML and tensorflow has been an immense PITA, not only to have it working but performance-wise the alternative to NVIDIA's CUDAS is not matching by far its competitor.

I'm starting to wonder if I should consider having two cards.

  • .. And I'll I got was this lousy t-shirt.

  • Trump world sounds like a rough theme park.

  • I'll be honest, those Angles sound quite obtuse!

  • Mississippi is clearly that kid at school that eats the crayons.

  • The Swiss are very good at cleaning, specially certain types of laundry.

  • Here the crime is privacy, which is the same thing many countries are trying to curtail, including France, which is clamping down hard on encryption.

With time we will see services like protonmail or vpns vilified in order to make them inaccessible to the public.

  • Also I think that nostalgia works in a way where we remember more good times than hardships; humans are good adapting to any bullshit situation to the point we can call it comfortable and finally we look kindly to the past because old people remember mostly being young and healthy above all (despite not making this link mentally).

That's why everyone has this nostalgia for their youth, not because the 60s or 80s where a good time.

  • I'm not bi, but this made me curious.

  • Thousands upon thousands of years where the old tell the young: "take care of your back", but the young never listen.

That says a lot about us.

  • I love mushrooms, it's the only logic approach to tendering rabbit for a stew.

  • Honestly, as a long time Linux user, Proton seems surreal. The fact that any game I played just required me to install it and enjoy it is worlds apart from what it was until now-ish.

  • There are many unresolved cases in Japan and as a democratic country, I strongly doubt this internet conspiracy is reasonable.

  • Excuse me, but some of us are already in our fourties thank you very much

  • (Anxiously trying to figure out if that rectangle that contains a bit of a bycicle tire counts as a bycicle or not.)

  • This is one I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM0aohBfUTc, they go a bit with the Veritasium guy in the comments.

A similar thing also happened before to CGP Grey with Adam Something (https://youtu.be/oafm733nI6U), though I would argue that I didn't think CGP Grey had any secret agenda, it was just overreaching.

That said, even the people I mention here they are also biassed in their own ways or they tend to now and then throw a foul ball.

I simply felt that both Veritasium and Kurgesagt are very good at convincing of certain opinions shared with their promoters.
