  • We should start calling this what it is... grifting. He's grifting money. For any MAGA folk out there, here's the definition:

    grift

: to obtain (money or property) illicitly (as in a confidence game)

The Donald lost 50+ law suits for lack of evidence of any scheme or material defect in the 2020 election across the country. In fact, HE has been charged with felony counts in Georgia for alleged election tampering trying to steal the election. He is a con man and he has a grift going against his donors who still believe his lies in the face of an avalanche of evidence to the contrary. It's really easy to milk your own cult, and if you don't see that truth by now, you're probably in it.

  • Rural hospital closures are on the rise across the country as declining populations and seeking higher profits push for consolidation nation-wide. It's more impactful rurally, though. And for those states that have or are implementing abortion bans, they are hemorrhaging OB/GYN practitioners who want to move to states with crystal clear female and neonatal care laws that are a bit less "career ending". E.g. last I read there were only a handful of doctors in Idaho and women were seeking care in Washington where most of the doctors had moved.

  • No need. You can buy ALL of the parts off the shelf for a 3D printer and assemble it yourself. None are regulated (Aluminum rails, motors, arduino controllers, LCD panels, Power supplies, heating elements, thermistors, wiring). Strictly speaking there's nothing about a non-resin 3d Printer you can't procure and build yourself. And you can even 3d Print the housings to make it look nice once you've assembled it. Oh... and the designs and parts are largely open source.

  • This is 100% what the GOP wants. It worked for them in the judiciary and I am inclined to think it will work for them here. At first to make sure any non-conservative policy is removed and then to influence the military brass to setup for the next coup. I used to be a moderate voter and would vote for conservatives where their policies matched what I thought was reasonable and that I though I could count on to "do the right thing". The GOP drove any notion of that out of me forever with Trumpism.

The GOP is party over country and it's terrifying for our democracy. I LOATH Hillary Clinton and you'd have had to hold a gun to my head to get me to vote for her, but now I would vote for her in a heartbeat after what I've seen since ~2015.
