I highly doubt the left will do anything uncivil.

Firstly, undestanding what left actually is would be a good start. You're not talking about the left. You're talking about liberals. Liberalism isn't left. Liberalism is right-wing, and always have been.

The actual left is very happy to be "uncivil."

Secondly, a good second step would be to finally accept that liberals, and liberalism in general, has never, and will never, oppose fascism.

Those are two very basic things you can do right now.

I should not have grouped Progressives

I'm not sure why people use the term "progressive" - it seems to simply refer to liberals that don't want to be associated with their far-right cousins, but also don't want to give up on liberalism (which has always been a right-wing ideology) and actually move left. Just sems like edgy liberalism to me.

Shrapnel-creating explosives is used for open ground. In closed-in terrain, blast explosives is always going to be more effective. That's why the infamous "potato masher" grenade of the Germans was blast-only - it's far more effective at killing people inside trenches and bunkers. The US used the WW1-vintage Mk.3 grenade for that same purpose up until very recently.

It can happen, but not at the rate you see in movies. Explosions in real life is far, far more brutal than they are in the movies. Blast waves can liqefy bone - something the writers of zombie media never seem to understand.
