Depends on which libertarian ideology is being expressed. Left libertarians - anarcho-syndicalists libertarian socialists, anarcho-communists are all libertarians. The right wing of anarchism aren't leftists, the left wing are.

I agree that advertising is in itself part of the overall cultural problem of the system. However that doesn’t mean the specific forms or contents of advertisements aren’t more problematic than others.

TIL the counter-offensive has recaptured 50% of occupied territory, the counter-offensive has completely stalled because the Russian defense is formidable, and now the counter-offensive is delayed because not enough ammunition. Mostly I’ve learned to discount war reports as basically 90% wishful thinking/propaganda. Is Zelenskyy just drumming up support for more material support? Probably, but probably they have made some significant territorial gains, and they also have learned that as incompetent as the Russian Army is on offense, historically it has been just excellent on defense and culturally they don’t give up until they have nothing left or the state collapses.

All advertising for all tobacco products should be banned, including of course the product placement bullshit.

Other than that, and age restrictions, people should have the right to consume it. They should not have the right to force other people to consume it, as in secondhand smoke.

Same with other addictive and/or harmful products.

So thanks for providing a great example of the aggressively blinding grip of ideology over our ability to understand our reality. We’ve already broken the ecosphere. A nonexistent technology is not going to save us from the disaster that has already happened. Also the owners of the energy supply are aggressively defending their vastly profitable businesses from any threat to their profits. They’ve done quite well at that, see the comment from you.

The current version of the system is literally self destructing by destroying the ecosystem. It is also destroying its other external interface: human consciousness, but that is a more complicated discussion.
