  • Well, yeah. If he had said anything else I would be shaking my head at how out-of-touch he was. They will absolutely try January 6th again, only this time I hope the Capitol and DC police are ready for them. Not to mention Congress, maybe they will put a stop to Republican reps helping rioters plan their insurrection.

  • TSP contributions for the uniformed services didn’t start until 2001, it’s optional, and he only would have had deductions when paid for his training periods or any activation periods. The disclosures say no stocks or bonds, and TSP’s investment are only in stocks and bonds.

  • He was in the Army National Guard, so would have received those benefits when activated, which he was for short periods aside from normal training requirements, but wouldn’t have as much as you’d think since he only was paid when training or activated. Also, contributions for uniformed service members began in 2001. Also also, it’s optional.

  • Other countries have whole campaign seasons that are shorter. We’ve just gotten used to multi-year campaigns and never-ending reelection efforts. It wasn’t always like this, and I don’t think it’s good for us long-term.

  • Why is everyone acting as if she’s an heir or something? All delegates to the convention have already been elected. If Biden steps down, they can vote for whoever, and Dem party rules state that the superdelegates can’t jump in until the 2nd vote if no one wins the first.

  • Could they even get another primary going before the convention?

It’s not for another month, but…no. I don’t think so. I really hope there’s at least some semblance of voting before all the superdelegates start mouthing off in the press about their preordained candidate.
