This often happens on Firefox when the system changes from day to night (light to dark) UI modes whilst the app is open (or open in the background). The app looks like it hasn't been finished all of a sudden and menus are hard to read.
Force closing and restarting the app seems to kick it back into life. Ultimately it needs better handling from the app to properly listen to the change in system behaviour.
I'm sorry, Ireland will never be sanctioned for this. They're aligned with two powerful trading blocs.
Inside the EU: they don't meaningfully do anything to stop this practice of tax avoidance. They'll play a good game taking US multinationals to court, yes, and imposing laughable fines. But ultimately they're not going to outright ban this practice or force Ireland to stop. They're either not capable or unwilling. Time has showed both.
Friends with the US: if there's any "special relationship" with the US, it's not France it's not the UK it's Ireland. There's too many votes, to be blunt, in the "Irish American" caucuses for The US to change any position on Ireland regarding tax evasion.
Time to face facts. That tax isn't coming home. It's being funneled via Ireland for the benefit of US multinationals who wish their CEOs to vacation in Hawaii twice a year for a small cut taken by Ireland.
Cool science, but it remains to be seen whether this can be productionised to a point where it is commercially viable. Expect to be importing food for a number of years still.
Would you fly thousands of miles to do business in Rwanda and enjoy a F1 weekend?
Why does F1 weekends have to do with business? We've been to about half a dozen races and not had to carry a laptop to any of them. We just, you know, enjoyed the racing ๐คท. And the race hasn't even started yet but you're writing it off, what's with that? Even if you did go for business, surely is highly dependent on the business in question? Are you speaking for all businesses when you say they won't go?
Is Rwanda better served spending all that money on something else like it's people?
That's up to them, not a random internet commentator. ๐ซ ๐คฃ
You've picked a fairly high bar for new F1 tracks if you're baseline is "where the super rich go to avoid tax".
And who says the same can't be true of Rwanda? It doesn't have to be at the same level as Monaco but that shouldn't disqualify the race from being held there.
I wonder what is specific about the African nation of Rwanda that means you discount them as a nation that can hold sports events.
Also, aren't telephones still working? Just call a friend/relative outside of the country to obtain information, or ask someone who has a friend/relative and ask for information on your behalf.
In Putin Russia friend calls you! And by friend I mean your neighbor, and by call you I mean call the police to arrest you because you have dared to ask for information. Straight to the gulag for you!
I don't think I can ever let my parents know I'm an atheist and with that seems to go my chance of having kids.
I know at first it sounds difficult because you care for your parents. But this is your life and whether they choose to respect your choices or not is up to them. If you want kids, have kids. If you want to be an atheist, be an atheist. If you want to dye your hair blue, dye your hair blue.
Your parents don't have to agree with your choices (as long as you're not breaking the law or anything like that)... but they should respect you and your choices.
Are dropping kettle bells on your wooden flooring or something ๐คฃ.
