  • Report it to the police, corporate and consider talking to your local news. Make sure school admin is aware as well. If you can shift them to different schools (i know not always possible) do so.

My usual response to this kind of thing is to get louder not quieter, that said, I'm also able to put on an angry enough face to make people cross the road which is not a power everyone has.

Go with your comfort level but I would urge reporting to the police and doing what you can to get out of what sounds like broken area.

  • agreed, every social network in existence was built linking shamelessly to nearly everything out there. You can still link reddit without giving them ad-rev, remember MOST of what they post is not OC either. A quick search and youll find how old most of the posts truly are and how so many of them originated elsewhere.

Use the tools they have to locate and extract.

Also worth noting: every popular social network started with adoption by the "nerds"

mainstream comes after then claims everything for themselves. annoying, but what we want.

  • GPT releases model tunes using a month-day versioning system.

For GPT-4 there are 2 releases

    • 0314 - Original Release, good at math
    • 0613 - Recent update, tagged to "GPT-4" in chat gpt and "gpt-4" in API calls.

If you want 0314 you need API access, Azure, or know someone sharing access.

It is entirely possible to use a version of GPT-4 that is very much like the version we used on opening day. just a little diy

I don't know why thier tune is bad for 0613. Altman has made some statements they dont say much,.

  • 1 lemonade pls

  • wine not some more?

  • Yes, community list: https://lemmy.intai.tech/post/2182

LLM's are extremely flexible and capable encoding engines with emergent properties.

I wouldn't bank on them "replacing all software" soon but they are quickly moving into areas where classic Turing code just would not scale easily, usually due to complexity/maintainance.

  • I'm told by super-smart econ people that companies and states pushing to start child labor up again rather than pay wages that would have adults work is NOT an indication of a failing system.

    ok

  • if only it was so simple. AB managed to piss everyone off.

  • too tired? from what im seeing the vast majority of people just don't care. they are fine with thier internet becoming more expensive and handing everything to these companies. most simply think this is the only option.

  • Last car I bought was a 2015, infotainment in it is a disaster but completely ignorable/replaceable. If cars keep going the way they are, Ill drive what I have into the ground.

    1. Babyfood containers are NSF plastic meant to be microwavable
    2. They only tested babyfood containers and a pouch
    3. these containers are made out of the same plastics used in many microwaveable products

I'm not microwaving plastic ever again.

  • ipv6 and reverse proxied. yes.

  • expected, but not a sustainable growth, there is a finite number of conversions here.

  • reddit's been less accepting of truth year over year for 16+ years

  • keep "beta" in mind here. its all volunteer made, originally by just a small group. its going to be clunky initially. so was reddit.

  • profit + commons = not your commons

as evidenced by reddits recent moves.

im going to call that a corporate plaza with volunteer employees.
