  • šŸ˜‚ good point. I’m just thinking that since it’s NK, the ā€œmanagerā€ probably didn’t have much more freedom or authority than the employees did. I’d be very surprised if he benefited from the embezzlement. I’d expect the higher ups to take it all.

  • I’ve seen more sealioning than simple trolling. Sometimes, I can’t resist replying, because I’m not sure if they’re genuinely seeing things differently, or just because their games annoy me.

  • I’m all for worker’s rights, but killing the plant manager was a touch much.

  • The only good thing to come out of this is that the cop quit. I hope he’s billed for the damage to the car anyway.

  • How are you not proving his point? The very first thing I said was ā€œthat’s unfortunateā€, because I empathize. I also used the word ā€œmaybeā€ because I’m not omniscient and could very well be wrong. Describing my own experience is not ā€œbraggingā€ or ā€œhostileā€, and since it’s related to the topic at hand, certainly isn’t arbitrary.

Unlike you, I didn’t lead off with a paragraph of assumptions.

I’m not even touching that ridiculous ā€œgroup dynamicsā€ bullshit, or the personal insults. They speak for themselves quite well. Have you ever heard of giving someone the benefit of the doubt?

Don’t waste too much effort on your inevitable reply. I won’t be reading it.

  • That’s unfortunate, because it’s the opposite of my experience. Maybe I just don’t care, and/or I’ve gotten better at spotting the warning signs of trivial bullshit and then ignoring it.

The trolls feel like insecure outsiders who haven’t matured enough to ā€œgetā€ Lemmy. It’s like they know they aren’t taken seriously, and want the imaginary clout they had on Reddit.

  • Not a mustard fan, tries mustard soup anyway, discovers something wonderful. This may be a trivial example, but it’s the key to living life!

  • This is the ideal meme format. Pedro’s smile is perfect.

  • You provide an excellent example regarding training requirements. As part of those, I would also like to include safe use and home storage.

    Yes, I’m American.

  • People with second amendment bumper stickers on their trucks seem to selectively forget the ā€œwell regulatedā€ part.

  • Experience. Learning when it’s okay not to give a fuck, and when I definitely should.

  • Yeah. I’m reluctant to tip anywhere that doesn’t offer table service.

  • Absolutely. If other people want to judge me for it, then their opinion doesn’t matter to me anyway.

  • Because he’s my nephew. I care about him. He’s only in high school, he’s saving up for one, and I don’t want him to be disappointed/frustrated and waste his money on a crappy printer. If I can steer him away from bad printers and software, great!

I also don’t want him to be discouraged. He’s smart, talented, and basically I want him to kick ass everything he does (I know that’s unrealistic, but hey, that’s the uncle in me talking). Plus, being good at 3D printing will be a valuable skill.

  • Don’t support corporate ā€œpersonhoodā€. Refusing to call Twitter by the stupid name Musk has given it is 100% acceptable.

  • I like JustWatch because it lets you search all your streaming services at once. If you set up a (free) account, you can limit it to just the streaming services you have personally. Handy as hell.

  • MMMPox

Goddammit now I’ve got that Hanson song in my head. I deserve it.

  • Ooh, I didn’t know that happened. Nice!
