I am confused, the gear s3 came out in 2016, so even 2 years ago it was already 6 years old.

That is not what I would consider new smartwatches these days.

I mean the books are great too, apparently they're even better in it's native language.

Drugs winning in the war on drugs once again

I have grown up pretty much my entire life hearing and thinking that protests are the way to bring about change, but everyone conveniently leaves out the fact that you have to build that political movement too.

People want to show up for a protest and be done, many people don't want to do the work to be an activist and work for change, and honestly I don't blame them.

Hell I know people who went to BLM protests, Palestine protests and pro choice protests.... But don't vote, so sorry if I seem overly critical of protesting. I'm just sick of prevalent idea that it's all you need to do.

No, not really. One of the great america propagandizing myths is that protests are effective. They're not, they can easily be ignored. What does work is organized strikes and planned disruptions of key targets with protests.

In certain forms, or in conjunction with other forms of activism it can still work. For example tree sit ins to prevent logging.

Occupy wall street, BLM, the protests when Row v Wade were overturned all largely accomplished nothing on their own.

Enough money to buy Activision-Blizzard and Bethesda, but not enough to actually pay for developers or marketing.

Most people have pretty decent ai hardware already in the form of a gpu.

Sure dedicated hardware might be more efficient for mobile devices, but that's already done better in the cloud.

Closest in the united States is a chevy bolt, but that's still pretty far.

Imo coop is more similar to a single player game that you can play with other people. Baldurs gate is a rpg that you happen to be able to play with other people.

Another example would be deadspace 3.

Most PvE games on the other hand are not primarily story driven. Helldivers, deep rock galactic and such.

Something like left4dead covers both because its PvE but it also has a story.

Then games like palworld are more like survival MMOs. Coop in these games is more of an emergent gameplay, while in other coop games its essentially forced.

I don't like putting these games together because story driven coop games are pretty rare, but PvE games don't seem to be as rare.

Is it just me or is PvE distinct from co-op?

These are very different categories and experiences.

Blame the journals for that, affirming someone else's experiment is not "publishable".

It's lack of sun, kids who grow up with a lack of adequate sunlight exposure have increased risk of myopia.

It's not screens, at least not directly, but indirectly since they keep kids inside more.

I said that it wouldn't be good for streaming apps, like Netflix, and the previous comment was asking about Plex specifically.

Not for the shield, but there's a Chinese device, Ugoos am6b+, that you can install coreelec on.

Coreelec is a linux os designed to run kodi, add a plex add on and it can play almost anything.

Any dolby vision profile, including the one that can usually only be played on bluray players. Any audio including TrueHD, dolby atmos, and DTS.

Sucks for streaming apps sadly, so you'd have to get another device like Apple TV or something.

And if they wanted their own little naziverse on the fediverse nobody could stop them, but compared to every other social media platform most of lemmy deplatformed and banned nazis, while they get privileged status on Facebook or Twitter.

Oh they tried, they got banned and any instance they spun up got defederated.

Turns out they don't like just each other very much. And those instances did not grow on their own.

I think at that point I'd mail a certified letter and cancel whatever card it's on.

That probably wouldn't work but one can dream.
