  • I'd feel kinda happy about that if it happened after what they did to pebble, if it wherent for the fact that the assholes who fucked that up still got their money, and now even more people would have wrist-mounted bricks.

  • Part of me says the real solution is to stop paying people $12m a year to throw balls around, but then again compared to the amount the people who own the teams and league get, shits chump change.

  • Linux might have a similar file name restriction, but what's more important IMO, is the obnoxious file path restrictions NTFS has.

Naming a file less than 255 chars is a lot easier than keeping its path down.

Limiting file name is one thing, but dealing with limited path lengths when trying to move a custies folder full of subdir on subdirs is obnoxious when the share name its being transferred to makes it just too long.

  • On one hand that guys a cunt.

On the other I'm bisexual, some sorta genderqueer, and I only l usually leave it at lgbt. Then again I'm not butthurt about the additions I'm just a lazy fuck lol.

    Still, that guys a cunt.

  • Next time you hear some cop talk about how everyday is a warzone, remind them of all the young military members that actually signed to serve their country (don't want to get into the politics of military recruitment that's super ugly too) that they've killed.

Ask them how many cops have died at the hands of military members who are barely old enough to drink, not many American ones at least.

  • Amazon doesn't sell devices with Google Play or other google apps loaded on them, they specifically don't have a deal with google, and instead create a flavor of android based on the AOSP, which is increasingly minimalistic on purpose.

Samsung does have a store, but its not like Google didn't try to stop it.

Basically your options are to do everything that google says, or reinvent the wheel trying to push AOSP.

  • Because they make deals with manufacturers to ensure only google play is loaded on, and that the bootloader is locked so custom ROMs can't be easily installed. If they decline, they lose the right to ship w/ google play, and therefore piss of the average user.

Not just a coincidence that the only flagship devices on the market with an unlockable bootloader are made by Google. If you want to use android without them in a secure manner, you're going to have to pay them for it.
