  • GTA 3 has a silent protagonist and most of the dialogue takes place in mission cutscenes. It’s a very simplistic game in comparison to GTA 4.

If you’re after a grounded experience with characters that feel real, then yes it paid off.

  • I don’t know how many times I have been waiting for the product manager to get out of their meeting so they can help me clarify what they really mean with their "high priority" ticket only consisting a vague title.

  • In one the worst “poor planning” projects I’ve been in the product owner just kept sneaking in new “high priority” issues to the top of the backlog throughout the sprint. I don’t think we had a single sprint where we ended up with fewer open issues in the backlog than when we started.

Needless to say, he was the main reason why I quit.

  • It’s more about poor planning vs good planning. Of course a project with good planning is more likely to deliver in time.

It’s just to that poor planners tend to use “agile” as an excuse for their poor planning.

  • It’s a bit hit and miss. Some parts are glorious. Other parts are just frustrating.

There’s too many parts that are “Oh you failed this jump? Now you need to start all over again”. I’m thinking especially on that Yoshi mission in Ricco Harbor.

Or that lilly pad bonus level on that island that you must bring Yoshi to, but Yoshi can’t swim so you need to ride those slow ass boats. Ensure you don’t miss any jump, because then you need to start all over again.

The visuals are incredible for its time. The water is one of the most beautiful on that generation.

It’s a game that could’ve benefited from being easier, or at least be more forgiving. I just want to soak in all the visuals.
