  • I always assumed keeping a change history for comments would be cost prohibitive. I mean there are millions of comments and God knows how many changes.

But apparently it's not a problem to keep versions of them. It doesn't blow up the database?

  • I've bee the using smartphones my entire life and I've fallen for this bullshit. I've instinctively pressed the first install button because my search was hyper specific, I just assumed it wouid be the first result.

But, of course it was an ad. Fucking Google.

  • I feel like enshitification has hit the NBA too. People keep saying, as you are, that these contracts are worth it because they bring in the money, but the games to me personally are unwatchable.

There are ads EVERYWHERE, constantly... Every inch, every second is plastered with ads. I don't bother watching anything until the playoffs, and even then I pick my poison.

Now, obviously my opinion doesn't matter because there are people watching, but I honestly don't know how much longer it can go... They play ads between free throws...

If you watched the Olympic games it feels like it isn't even the same sport, it's so much more enjoyable.

  • Every time Democrats bring big ideas, gun control, healthcare, the rabbid Republicans come out in the midterms and vote the Democrats out.

Meanwhile the youth never gets energized enough because they think winning one election is all it should take and if you don't have universal healthcare by March you're a sellout and they'll stop voting.

Real change means voting in EVERY election, starting locally and going up, for decades.

That's what the Republicans have done and they've captchured a bunch of governments and institutions.
