of course I could have RTFM'd but it's really weird that it doesn't set DRM itself. so if you think you'll get any kind of sensible default on first boot ... well. nope you get nothing not even TTYs to fix it

every once in a while i get it in my head to follow some web tutorial for a rust thing but then i grow weary knowing that syntax and structure will have changed dramatically in the month or two since the guide was made

my first impression of dependency management was the abomination that is nuget. I'll never forget how bad it can be. every language that has a first class dependency manager like cargo is a win.

valve's success is the rebranding of flatpak wine fsync and dxvk as steam runtime and proton. people fucking hate Linux and will only use it by accident
