  • There are a lot of things which can be done to start fixing it, but we won't even do those. Get rid of the capital gains discount and make investment losses only able to be counted against profit from that investment (not other income).

    Then you can start looking at supply and liquidity issues.

  • This is more like someone offering a "brand new method of personal travel" to replace your car, but it turns out that it's just an old Honda with only one seat, a fuel tank that only holds 10L, and a custom navigation app. There's nothing it does that your Honda can't do better, and you won't want to replace your Honda with this.

  • Your problem is that you're relying on their algorithms, which are imperfect, and haven't given them much training data.

    Personally I never use the radio function. I listen to artists I like, I listen to and create playlists I like, and I sometimes listen to recommended songs and add them to my lists if I like them. I would say that I have a pretty broad taste in music - but it's certainly not traditionally popular music. The last week or two I've been purely listening to my "liked" list because there are multiple thousand songs in it.

  • I'm sure there are people, but I think you'd be surprised how few there are. The vast majority of people make long trips very infrequently - to the point that most could hire a car or find some other means for those situations.
