  • The fact you can't even imagine how a server could host something like a warehouse management system says a lot.

  • I'm sick of how unhinged people get about trans people, especially from those in the left. I can't tell you how many times I've had my identity invalidated by people simply because I disagree with them on something socially or politically. These people claim to be my allies but the moment I don't fit their stereotype of a trans person it's like I'm not even a person to them anymore.

What those kinds of people have done to my brother as well pisses me off to no end. It's disgusting how a political group claims to be your friend only to try and harm you if you don't act the way they want you to. That's what abusers and cultists do.

  • Yeah, the blue collar workers who have to pick up your slack are very well aware of your useless position. Bragging about it like this is frankly disgusting.

  • I'll believe it when I see it. Many jobs do not work well on this schedule, such as logistics or manufacturing plants that house multiple customers. Not to mention if you have overtime you either get in at 3am or work Friday.

This comes off as yet another article written by and advocated by office workers who likely have never had a floor job in their life. That's a privilege, and one most people do not have.

  • You can't vote people into office who are younger when your only viable choices are people who are all over the age of 65.

  • Get all these geriatrics out of office and put age limits on all public officials. This is such a farce.

  • No, it's because the DoJ is intentionally trying to take a neutral position in what they know is a very delicate issue.

Honestly it would be a tad concerning if they hadn't used Trump appointees for this case. It's not as if people appointed under Trump are beholden to him or even think like him. Look at how many Trump appointed federal judges shot down his election fraud cases.

  • When the American republic becomes the American Empire and companies become divinely chosen aristocrats. Not an impossible outcome.

  • Both sides of Congress have been saying for years now they are going to regulate big tech. This is one of the few things politicians have bipartisan agreeance on.

  • How does that relate to anything being discussed here?

  • No, I'm just saying there were communists in high offices during McCarthy's tenure. Where in that did I defend capitalism, or bring it up at all?

  • The same way I know a warehouse that takes 3 boxes in for every 2 boxes it sends out will eventually fill up. Social Security cannot fund itself, and once my generation (millennials) hits retirement age, there will not be enough young people to pay for the burden we put on the system.

It isn't magic, you need to pay the piper or default, those are your two options.

  • When you pick a file to upload or open from inside another application, the GTK/Gnome file picker does not allow you to have a thumbnail view of all the files. It is a meme in the Linux community at this point since there was a bug filed in 2004 asking for this feature, some even writing patches to make it work. Gnome devs refuse to change how the file picker works however.

    https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141154

  • Are they going to rethink putting thumbnails in the file selection dialog or many of their other insane decisions?

Gnome seems like they want to take the Apple approach to UI design without the attention to detail that Apple's UX has.

  • Everything you post online is public, even if services claim its private. Just remember that and try to be anonymous so you blend in with the background noise.

  • According to your own post it's the commies who fought for the broken system we have today. I personally just blame Eisenhower and his supporters, but you're free to blame who you want.

That being said I'll vote for whoever makes it so I no longer have to pay hundreds of dollars every month into a system I'll never benefit from.

  • A system I'm going to pay into all my life but never use because it can't find funding? I'd rather it go away ASAP.

  • Never. They are cheap and work, and nicer underwear isn't so much nicer that it's worth the extra money. It's underwear, it's not like other people are going to see it.

  • And history has shown McCarthy wasn't wrong.

See: William Remington, Solomon Adler, Frank Coe, everyone named by Elizabeth Bentley really.
