  • You only cloned the sketch into the other bodies. You still need to use these sketches in each body to create a pocket. So activate one of the side panels for editing (double clicking on the body in the list, so that the name is bold), then selecting the sketch clone and clicking the pocket symbol in the part design workbench. Set its depth and click ok. Repeat for the other side panel

  • Had it installed a few months ago. I really would like this to be good, but unfortunately its not. Mainly it is really really slow. For the games flow to work, you need more speed. A factor of 2 would already help. And flow features like grinding on lines and bouncing on rocks.

  • I really love the continent Zammonien from the books by Walter Moers, like "The 13½ Lives of Captain Bluebear". Just to give you an idea: In one life bluebear goes to nightschool - a school in a mountain lead and taught by an Professor Dr Nachtigaller, who has 7 brains - together with a moutain demon (kind of) and a prince from the 2364. dimension (where everything is made of carpet and people make music on instruments made out of milk) named Qwert Yuiop. Later bluebear gets to the sweet desert, which isn't filled with sand but with sugar. For the nomadic people of the sweet desert he catches the half-stable fatamorgana City "Anagrom Ataf" in a big pool of molten sugar. You get it. Bluebear being the kings of lairs at one point in the book really fits.

Moers wrote multiple books about that continent. I really love them. I just organized a big station based game about that for my local scouts troop. About 60 kids from 7 to 16 years following my story to rescue Zammonien. Easily dumped 150h of work in that game, but it was really great

  • Which then wouldn't be a legally full verification of your age, thus the legislation would probably require some other means. We currently have a similar discussion in the EU regarding porn sites. Verification methods could be showing your id card and your face to a webcam, or showing up at a verification office in person (at least in germany we have this with our national postal service). Of course the porn sites don't want to implement this. And I cannot really blame them. Nobody would give a random porn site their real identity and it would still be very easy to get porn without verification.

Age verification on social media is very similar.

  • Even the extra budget (Sondervermögen) of 100 million € is not nearly enough to do this. Suren technically it is possible, but it would require so much money, that it is highly unlikely, that we would see the parliament in unison here. Currently the Bundeswehr cannot handle millions of conscriptions.

  • While the prices are surely very high, they are not that high everywhere. My sister just bought a small house with small garden in a smallish city (50k people living here) for 260k. And we are 30min train ride from the next major city

  • Every evening in bed I hear audiobooks for a bit. Simple wired in-ears are good for laying on your side (only one side in) while they won't be lost that easily as wireless ear buds. Also they never need to be recharged

  • It was a friend who helped me install ubuntu 8 on my PC in dualboot when I was like 14/15 years old. Was already a computer nerd, though my friend was way more into everything Linux related. I got hooked there, though at that time it was a real pain in the ass to use wifi in ubuntu. I wouldn't call me obsessed, but I really don't like using Windows. I have to for work and I despise it.

  • A dog will behave the same to interactions, that it doesn't like, as cats: Leaving, telling (with their respective sounds), scratching, biting. Change cats in your sentence to any animal that is able to interact with humans (fish is difficult for example) and I would agree.

  • That sounds really cool.

@fellow_germans: How can I express this in german? The literal translation "Was ist deine aktuelle Obzession?" doesn't sound right, because of the different meanings of obsession. Maybe "Welches Thema beschäftigt dich gerade?", though this also doesn't seem to have the correct ring to it.

  • I'm going with the niche german option: Jan Philip Zymny. He is a former Poetry Slammer and writes hilarious dadaistic texts. An he can also do that spontaneous together with the audience.

And of course the german comedian Thorsten Sträter.

  • Occam's razor, because it seem it is often used wrong by using it for just shutting down possible explanations. Typically noone mentions, that this is about guessing probabilities without prior knowledge and not a way to completely ignore an explanation.
