Most people simply don't get the point. They don't understand, let alone care about, digital privacy and security.
Anecdotal evidence: I have a short Gmail address (think billg@gmail.com), and a lot of smartasses use it to subscribe to everything, mostly as a throwaway but also on e-commerce sites, fintech bullshit with access to their bank accounts, ...
Once I got curious and reset the password, logged in and the moron had already filled in all his personal info, including his credit card. Another time I sent an SMS to the guy asking him to stop, he replied "it's my address, my nephew set it up for me, I guess we just have the same one".
These guys would never take 10 minutes to set up a 2FA app.
Well it's the same for the free market really. On paper it's a nice idea, but in practice it makes the world miserable because people are, in general, fucking selfish assholes.
Hazing in the Russian military (dedovshchina) is horrifying, straight up torture, mutilation and even murder. Families often use their entire savings to bribe officials so their sons aren't conscripted. So the Russian military is made up of the dregs of society, people so destitute they can't pay their way out of military service. Mental health issues are prevalent, either from their past life or from the hazing itself.
I know, I am one :( But I also know that if I had to go to a dealer to buy cigarettes, I couldn't smoke in public and it was as socially frowned upon as hard drugs I'd have a much easier time quitting.
I'm very pro-legalization but honestly tobacco is a shit drug. No real high, very addictive and awful health effects. I don't see many people going through the hassle of maintaining their addiction illegally if it was banned everywhere.
I sincerely hope you're trolling... Have a nice day.
