  • In Europe a liberal is someone who favors a free market and minimal state intervention in the economy. It's never used when talking about social issues or personal freedom.

  • If she's getting all her news from Fox or worse, it's very plausible that all she's ever heard about the bad shit he's done is "fake news", and that she genuinely sees him as a smart, kind man.

  • Comments are good when you're doing something weird to handle an edge case or something. But yeah most of the time clear variable names, and extracting complicated code to a dedicated and clearly named function, are enough.

    There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation and naming things.
