  • VR needed to be an accessory to an established console like system that was packed in with the console. So everyone had one but was not always required to use. But also keep it at the cost of a normal console sub $500.The other problem is when you are in VR you don't care but before you try VR watching another person do VR they look silly.

    So that holds people back from trying VR. So a lot of people would prefer to only VR when no one is home even family. The other other issue is because VR is so isolated some people can't shake the feeling of someone is watching them or will do something to them. It puts you in a very vulnerable state. All this on top of motion sickness and other things that other people have mentioned.

  • The best advice I can give you is to switch to Linux is don't right away. Switch the applications you use to open source or Linux compatible alternatives that also run on windows. Then after you get used to those on windows then make the switch.

    I would also recommend not dual booting at first since it's too easy to jump ship at the slightest issue vs sticking with it to figure out the issue just like you would with a problem on windows. It's a real thing I have experienced it in reverse as a long time Linux user that tried Windows 11 i kept jumping back to Linux every time I ran into issues that caused frustration.

  • I didn't say you didn't but you don't want commitment or the burden of a relationship as you put in your cons category. What you want based on what you said was you want intimacy and sexual connection but after you had your fill. You want the other person to fuck off and leave you alone. That by definition is a friend with benefits. They come hang out and if you both want to. you do intimate things then you or they leave.

  • Also polyamory is not required for friends with benefits type of arrangement. There are plenty of people that have monogamous set ups that are still classified as friends with benefits. This is mainly done for safety from STDs and such. It's just that nether party wants relationship responsibility of caring for your partners emotional needs.

  • This made me thing of another question if someone was born deaf but if you attached a device that would have a mic with an amplifier and a transducer that touched the skin so they could feel the vibration frequency changes based on sound. Could they develop a new way of hearing sounds? Could they learn to speak?

  • They can't but also by banning it having the banned software makes it a crime. So if they stop you and see you have the banned software installed they can add charges. It's like a seat belt law most are not going to catch you wearing a seat belt or not but if they pull you over they will add that charge to your ticket. Also making something illegal that everyone will keep doing. Allows the government to charge people it doesn't like. Speak out in ways powerful people don't like jail. Help the homeless jail. Be homeless jail. Try and run against me in an election jail.
