I'll then proceed to leak your IP address onto my hacker forums, and then using an IP locator, I'll easily find your house and your name. With that I can access your social media accounts and proceed to ruin your life. You think I'm bluffing? You think that just because a bunch of 7 year olds say they can "hack", but actually can't, that I can't either? Let me shatter that facade for you. Using my team of hackers, we can trace what websites you've visited and what keystrokes you've used, and with that, I can get into your parents' bank account. I can drain it and make you dirt poor. There was a whole wave of bean posting here a week or so ago. It took over everybody’s feeds on like every instance. That specific post was the most upvoted one in the chain of bean posts

I think the idea of having crossposted content is ok since you can opt in or out of seeing it, just looked through the instance though and it seems like nobody is interacting with the content at all. For me, my favorite part of the posts on Reddit was reading through the conversations in the comments. Imo, if nobody is interacting with the content that is being crossposted we shouldn’t bother with continuing to copy it over
Wouldn’t a better way to connect communities on the fediverse be to make a dedicated community to do just that? I get the search feature and federation doesn’t always work, but if you organize a joint community on one instance..other instances can troubleshoot to make sure that community is federating properly to them. Idk, just my 2 cents..I personally don’t like the move over the last couple of years to organize groups on discord
