The Snowman movie with Michael Fassbender his voice was so bad (due to throat cancer) he had to be dubbed over with another voice. I was really excited seeing him in it though. Broke my heart learning about his voice and now his death.

I don't think your post directly addresses my point but your point is extremely important. One of the reasons we're so fractured is the lack of proportion representation of people in government and that is because of the broken FPTP system that's so prevalent.

Yes, that's correct. What I'm trying to get away from the "both sides" thing is because it does the exact opposite which is foster complacency.

Yeah I'm as unhappy as I am he's in charge ... he's at least got Canada as his priority unlike Danielle Smith.

I never had a pet so Jurassic Bark was just okay to me. However, I do have an older brother so this is one of the first cartoon episodes of anything that felt transformative for me. It's like someone woke me up in the middle of a show. I couldn't believe what I'd just watched. I love this episode and it has a special place in my heart.

(Edit: I find the downvote just funny, I didn't like Jurassic Bark that much I'm sorry :P)

The thing is they've diluted that word that originated in the 1930s from African Americans being aware of social injustices and stuff into whatever they don't like.

What they've done is include things like "corporate pandering". Most of us don't like corporate pandering however it crosses into "representation" and stuff too so it really gets blurred. Like, are those gay people in this Netflix series put in there just to pull in a certain crowd? Here's the thing, they're treating "corporate pandering" like it's the end of the world. Go through any YouTube video on gaming and they'll be talking about whatever "woke" game is next non-stop. Sensible people will be like -- "I'm just not gonna buy it" or treat it as not a big deal.

Then they've rolled in ANYTHING left leaning. A women standing in the corner? Woke. A minority in a higher-up corporate position? Woke.

The threat of fascism and people losing their rights and the super-rich taking over the world and climate change and all this other shit is what matters. Woke is just a way to scare a certain large demographic into voting against their own interests.

I have a job that's repeatedly being reminded that it's going to be taken over by AI in my news feed. Between Marvel Rivals and Penn and Teller Magic Tricks I get reminded of constant tariffs and war.

Do yourself a favour and find different outlets and ways of getting information. Mental health is important dude.

I don't know if Sam Bankman-Fried is a huge piece of shit. He's definitely a liar and a scammer though. But he was like rich as anything and then lost it all. Now he's trying to curry favour with Trump to get out of jail.

I genuinely hope that that's true. The thing is that I still know people that hate gays and just aren't vocal about it.
