    Because they're just moving the goalposts until you "slip" and say something that confirms their biases against you. Being "right" is never the goal.

  • Well yeah, the article specifically mentioned that Harvard admins saw the demands as excessive and illegal.

    Harvard has a lot of clout, and I think it's reasonable to assume that someone very high-up at the school got on the phone with somebody very high-up at WH (if not POTUS himself) and straight up told them a narcissist's least-favorite word: "No."

  • I mean, there's nothing inherently bad about wanting to keep your identity private. That should be a human right, if anything.

    That said, J6ers need to be named and shamed, especially those in positions of power and authority. The latter part should be the single exception for the "privacy is a right" idea.

  • Also if you marry someone who already has debt before you guys married, in most states that debt does not become your responsibility after marriage.

    Correct. My ex had student loan debt before we got married, and she tried to get me to "help" her with it during our divorce. I'm glad I didn't.
