We've got a few Echos, but these days they are mainly used as a bluetooth speaker (bedroom), kitchen timer (kitchen), and the kids' one (basement) is used for music... and that's about it.
I have one in the garage, too, but I'm about to throw it against the concrete floor and run it over a few times for how often it only plays one fucking song from my Spotify playlist when I'm working on my motorcycles.
I'm running ZHA at the moment, but some of my devices (mainly the plant humidity sensors) keep falling off the zigbee network for hours at a time. I've heard zigbee2mqtt resolves a lot of issues with ZHA, would that have any effect?
I like smart tech, as long as I can make it work for me and not just another data vacuum for some faceless corporation. I've got Home Assistant handling a lot of my stuff now, and I'm moving things over to it and replacing corporate-app-only things with things that can work locally.
The only thing I'm really questioning is the removal of the Archos devices. I'm sure if this is legit then there are reasons for it, but those devices essentially started the entire Rockbox project.
After dismissing the jurors, Summerville also permanently dismissed the Suffolk County District Attorney’s case against Martell-Lebron due to prosecutorial misconduct.
Good.
I'm gonna guess the "suspect" was just trying to get by for his family, as most "illegals" are really doing. Just trying to get by.
She appealed the termination through Walmart’s internal review process but was denied. She filed for unemployment insurance but also took her story to Facebook, where it soon went viral.
Walmart appeared to acknowledge the error in a statement released to the media.
“We want our associates to feel safe and supported in their workplace, and we won’t tolerate bullying or threats of violence against our associates or customers,” Walmart spokesperson Joe Pennington said in a statement. “We’ve reviewed the situation and will be addressing it internally. We’ve also made multiple attempts to invite Ms. Davis to return to work, with back pay.”
Oh, really, NOW you're taking it seriously because you know you fucked up? What a fucking obviously canned corporate response. I'd be calling lawyers left and right after that, I bet more than a few would take it pro-bono.
8,653 cars over four dealerships in three days is 961 ~721 cars per dealer per day. (edit: fixed my math)
No dealership carries that many cars in one go, much less even capable of processing that many sales within 24hrs. Your average dealership sells maybe 100 cars a month.
My only beef with LubeLogger (and it's a pretty minor one, given it's just the one dev) is the lack of a mobile app. I've used aCar since 2012. I have years of data logged, and IMO, having periodic reminders and widgets available at a single tap is a bit more favorable than a PWA.
I am very curious about ntfy though. Please do share.
