  • It might see a massive increase in nuclear warhead production and pointless vehicle production, but the US military will continue to decline. There aren't enough truly dedicated Trump supporters to refill what's been lost over the last 8 years, and we have a new set of veterans from Afghanistan to preach the pointlessness of war and the fact the US government will not provide you practically any support once you're used up to stall or eliminate new recruits.

The fact Trump's destroying the VA and has already indefinitely paused GI bill payouts just adds to that fire, where not even shitty but 'safe' benefits are not guaranteed.

No matter how far down the LLM rabbit hole the government goes you can't sustain a war without a massive amount of soldiers. The US doesn't have that anymore.

  • It certainly did, inflation started right before the lockdowns started in response to the market shock from the rumors, and hasn't stopped or massively slowed. It was not higher during the various stimulus packages or giveaways.

  • Homer Simpson got on disability for being 300lbs, and he had to work comically hard to gain the 70 pounds to hit that mark.

...so that insatiable, ridiculous weight he was already at was only 230 freedoms. Easily half the adult population is near or above that. Hell that's not even particularly overweight if you're tall and somewhat in shape.

  • Except you have the order reversed, especially with recent inflation where inflation happened before the increase in monetary supply.

More often than not inflation under sovereign monetary issues is solely due to outside forces, not money supply.

  • MMT is the counter example to that, and it's how all sovereign currency issues work right now.

In the US, taxes do not fund the government. They haven't since at least the death of the gold standard. They act as a way to remove currency from circulation. The US just prints money and allows individual banks to print nearly unlimited money. It taxes in order to remove money from circulation and keep inflation at the target, but even then inflation isn't necessarily connected to the amount of money available, just the perception of money available.

There's plenty of ways to use MMT in other ways though, to print more money. If we create a function to invalidate 'dead' or noncirculated money, then we can print triple thr amount of money we do without raising the rate of inflation... But that would hurt rich people.

  • It's hardly a genocide to try, jail, and rehabilitate Nazis. Over half the Israeli population supports Nazi actions. If we fold the Palestinian population into that population of Nazis, their lives won't get better. We'd have to spend centuries as a global community commiting third party police and military to protect Palestinian Israelis from all others, while still calling them by their colonizers name.

Instead, we return the state of Palestine. We deport the Nazis. We let the state of Palestine set the terms of their return and settlement, should that be something they have in their hearts to do.

I'm sorry to say but the Holocaust wasn't shit at this point. Palestinians have had it worse at the hands of Zionists. Asking the victims to forever bare the names of their victimizers is crazy.

Imagine telling the Jews to just get back to Nazi Germany with vague assurances they'll be real citizens this time but keeping the name Nazi Germany.

  • If you're asking this and trying to argue this genuinely, then you've entirely lost the plot.

'broadcasting' doesn't enter into this. Kids will do this regardless, and have done this regardless for much longer than the UK has had access to any type of video media.

The only difference is kids can now show their stupidity to the world... Which they have been able to do for the last 40 years to some extent. We don't call a personal website broadcasting, because by no written definition could it be considered that. Neither is YouTube broadcast media, nor any internet thing (strictly speaking).

Neither is Tiktok, nor will be what comes after it, and so on.

Now we could change the definition of broadcast to mean any internet site or app and apply broadcast standards to it.. but that just means the UK loses access to the Internet. No one would comply, because what power does a tiny island in perpetual economic decline have? If UK didn't have any domestic advertisers sites would already ignore it.

  • It's a complete answer, it's not the one you tried to bait out, but it's a complete answer and it's correct. You can be mad at yourself for not laying a good enough trap to get what you want, or simply for trying to defend one of the worst human beings in one of the worst political parties in the world; but you can't be mad at getting a correct answer.

  • She promised to not change from Bidens policy. Biden's policy was limply call for a ceasefire while providing more weaponry than was needed in the Korean war.

Harris, therefore, told us what actions she would actually take, being a critical part of the admin she promised to continue
