  • This all comes back to supporting young men and men in finding positive social groups and support systems that don't have extreme ideology attached. In the absence of a general, common avenue to community for men, it seems like these edge groups will continue to leverage that component to lure them in.

  • LLMs/GPT, and other forms of the AI boogeyman, are all just a tool we can use to augment education when it makes sense. Just like the introduction of calculators or the internet, AI isn't going to be the easy button, nor is it going to steal all teachers' jobs. These tools need to be studied, trained for, and applied purposely in order to be most effective.

EDIT: Downvoters, I'd appreciate some engagement on why you disagree.

  • Agree, though their coverage of Bernie's 2016 presidential run towed the DNC party line, which made me less sure about their neutrality. Now I tend to hit up the BBC if I want US news coverage and I don't have time to ingest multiple sources.

  • Thanks for the additional context. And yeah, you're right about the coalitions trying to control both spots.

I don't think we can totally ignore that the 1796 Adams-Jefferson presidency was a vivid example to Congress--specifically, the congress that eventually passed the 12th amendment after the dumpster fire of the 1800 election--on the importance of relationship dynamics in getting things done.

  • Fun fact, the VP was originally supposed to be whoever got second place in the presidential election...until they figured out that the candidates might hate each other and that relationship isn't so great for a president and their VP.

  • I'm not a mathematician, but I agree with you because this is precisely how one would abbreviate repeating terms in a paper (e.g. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) are both located in New York, New York (colloquially, New York City, or NYC). While MoMA has an art collection of about 200,000 pieces, The Met houses 1.5 million works of art.)

  • Jesus, it's not just me! It seems like every answer I need is only found in a video format without labeled bookmarks/sections. I hate it so much. Give me a how-to with concise instructions and gifs, or give me death.

  • I know there are some databases of all Reddit comments prior to... maybe 2015? I forget. Would be cool to port them into an open source clone that isn't profiting off them, just for the times comments were really useful, like solving a tech issue only a couple people had ever documented.

  • When I lived in Seoul, stores sold different colored bags on behalf of the city for every type of waste disposal. They will only pick up the official bags and they were transparent-ish so it was easy for them to see whether you were breaking the bag type rules.

So, even if these receptacles charge money, I expect it would be cheaper than regular trash.
