  • Are you not reading what I said? It doesn't make the area safer. Receiving a ticket WEEKS after the fact does nothing to prevent or curtail the dangerous behavior WHEN IT IS OCCURRING. And it doesn't make the actual street any safer because people slow down for that 100yd stretch then speed back up. Never mind the fact that a huge number of the tickets go straight into the trash.

  • It does nothing to increase safety. Mailing someone a citation after the fact does nothing to stop the crime as it is being done. And, as is the case in Lindale, it doesn't even make any money as a large majority of the recipients just throw them away.

  • Same drug, different concentrations. I can do math, but the types to steal horse dewormer tend to have trouble with things like fractions. Also, human ivermectin isn't generally administered in a paste via syringe.

Listen, you can argue this point until you're blue in the face. It won't change the fact that people are stealing a compound specifically manufactured for use in treating horses for worms.

  • Not FDA approved to treat Covid.

this is what people are stealing

That's literally made to administer to a horse.

Ibuprofen is approved for infants, but that doesn't mean you can give an infant the same ibuprofen you take.

Lol "wake up". Okay, you gonna call me "sheeple" next?

  • A) She didn't run anyone over. B) Stopping an alleged shoplifter is not a valid reason to put yourself in front of a car. C) If you put yourself in front of a car, you don't get to claim to be afraid for your life. D) Shoplifting is not a capital crime.

  • Correct, she ALLEGEDLY stole from a store. Even if she DID steal from the store, THEFT IS NOT A CAPITAL CRIME.

Never mind the fact that the fucking officer stood in front of the car TO STOP A SHOPLIFTER.

Any loss prevention associate from Target stands in front of a car to stop a shoplifter is getting fired because even Target knows that's a dumbass move. How is it that Target trains it's people better AND holds them more accountable than the fucking police?

  • I did read what happened. Did you?

    Did you watch the video?

A police officer stood in front of a car then shot at the person behind the wheel because she apparently shoplifted.

    1. Shoplifting is not a capital crime.
    2. The cop shouldn't have stood in front of the car.
    3. SHOPLIFTING IS NOT A CAPITAL CRIME.

She shouldn't have stolen from the store, she shouldn't have gotten into her car. The cop shouldn't have stood in front of the car, the cop shouldn't have shot her. An officer should not intentionally put themselves in front of a car THEN declare they fear for their lives.

  • I didn't demand, I suggested. Because it's a show with tons of intentional subtlety. Every moment on the screen has a purpose. Not to mention all the brilliant dialog. There are so many great lines that come out of nowhere.

Sure, you can get the basics by skimming it... but you're not going to get the full experience that way.

Hell, I'm on my fourth watch through and I'm still finding new shit.

  • You do you bro. It's fine if you never learned how to calm yourself long enough to get the full experience the writers and directors wanted... because there's a lot more than "pensive looks" going on. There are several dozen layers of subtlety happening on screen at any moment, and you're bound to miss some shit. But whatever dude. I'm not here to tell you how to enjoy what is arguably one of the best first seasons of a television show in ages.
