A older person has heard of DnD because of a sitcom and laughed when they meet someone who plays? And thats why youll never watch the show?
I guess you had to be there. This was not a "laughing with you" situation, and it indicated to me that the show was mostly just making fun of nerdy people so I wouldn't enjoy it. That was enough for me. I've seen enough clips of it since then to know I was right.
but that a stupid person liking something isn’t a reason to reject the thing
Historically I've found that to be a very good indicator that I'm not going to like something. I've learned to trust my gut and I've seen enough clips of it since then to know my gut was right.
I'll alway remember the time I was hanging out with my GF at her parents house and she mentioned that she was going to play D&D later and her moms boomer-ass friend just immediatly started cackling about how "it's just like big bang theory!!".
There was no joke or anything just "oh, yea I'm going over to xxxx's house to play D&D later". That was enough for me to never bother with that show.
Yeah there's definitely diminishing returns but if you go too low it starts looking like shit enough to matter. 720p is probably my cutoff for that too.
You live in a fucking dream world. The fact that you honestly believe that Joe Biden could (and should) have assassinated the cult leader Donald Trump on live television, and life in the US would just continue on like normal, means you’re the stupidest fucking person I’ve ever encountered.
I never said things would continue on like normal. It would have just escalated the situation into what is currently happening now except with Biden in power instead so we're not all getting fucked. Better that the abusive tyrant be on your side than the other way around. He can run wild until they get their shit together enough to stop him and put safeguards in place to prevent it from happening again in the future (from either side) but the damage is done to the MAGAs instead of the innocent people Trump is targeting and everyone gets a good life lesson about why this "it's legal as long as it's an offical act" thing isn't a great idea.
Doesn't matter what they're fine with. Biden had a blank check to deal with them however he saw fit if they tried something. They were at least actually traitors unlike the people Trump is persecuting.
He doesn't need to explain. Whatever he did wouldn't have been illegal if it was an official act. Also Trump is demonstrably a fucking traitor so he could have used that as justification.
I hated them as a kid because they were uncomfortable and didn't fit right. My mom made is wear it but I used to put the chest belt behind my back as soon as she turned around because it dug into my neck. I probably should have been in a car seat for way longer than I was. As an adult I don't even notice it.
Yeah, it sounds like Elon but that's because Elon sounds like a 4chan user. Not the other way around. If this could be him so could thousands of others.
Not if they can't figure out the peripherals. The only thing missing with the laptop is the dual display. Having to drag around a whole keyboard, mouse, PC, and power bank like that is a lateral move at best. You could probably do what he's doing with a laptop and it would still be just as if not more compact.
Yea, it is a complicated issue, but at least the current way offers the little guys some protection. I've posted everything I've ever made (not that any of it was all that impressive) freely so it doesn't really matter to me but for some people it may.
