Funny how the article lists SO MANY other potential causes and the one you pick out is one that fits into your own information bubble.

Its pretty much a tale as old as time. Read the "little nicky" letters sent between rulers leading up to World War 1. Like shitposting commenters online faceless, nameless people are just cannon fodder to these people.

The first page of the jobs site linked literally has "restaurant worker". What the hell DOESN'T count as specialized experience to you? Ability to breathe?

With a total staff of 11 I'm guessing there's not a huge budget for outside contractors to do the work.

If it came down to it the remedy is to challenge it in court. An impartial judge should be able to look at the argument from the local government and determine if their argument is legitimate or not.

I have absolutely no doubt they’ll find someone just as detestable, if not more.

I've never seen a company SO devoted to get me to not use their service. $2-$3 a month is worth not seeing ads in my mind. They've made their website SO user hostile and their prices are just too damned high to justify paying them - I can just go without.

That being said…

I’m genuinely curious if there’s a place online where you find the discourse to be in anyway slanted toward the optimistic? I’d love to hang out there and after the Reddit exodus, for a while I personally genuinely tried to only have positive discourse here but I think the mood of the zeitgeist is exactly that: when the world seems shitty, everyone’s opinions seem shitty.

Do you disagree with what they actually said though?

Maybe everyone focuses on the negatives because we just did 5 straight years where it seems like if given the choice between two outcomes positive and negative, we’re living in the timeline where the negative thing always happens.

It's not. Especially if you suffer from anxiety or depression.

I mean I never said Massachusetts was perfect? I’m not sure what dog you have in this fight but as far as sanity goes we’re pretty more sane than most of the state zeitgeist.

I’m so glad I live in Massachusetts. Feels like the last bastion of sanity.
