  • LLMs have already reached the end of the line 🤔

I don’t believe that. At least from an implementation perspective we’re extremely early on, and I don’t see why the tech itself can’t be improved either.

Maybe it’s current iteration has hit a wall, but I don’t think anyone can really say what the future holds for it.

  • Yeah, I can definitely still go for some shonen, but the younger side of it (like boku no hero) is difficult when it’s focused on the younger side of high school.

HunterxHunter was my favourite show for a long time, I’ve been thinking of doing a rewatch but dread the idea that it’s going to fall flat…

  • I’m 27 and I’ve definitely out-aged some of it.

Came back to anime recently after not watching for 3-4 years and Demon Slayer and JJK have been great.

Tried to pick up Boku No Hero again tho… no. Too old for that now.

  • Now that GPU companies and developers seem to be giving some focus to Linux, I don’t know what Microsoft can do.

Windows is bloated to shit and that’s how Microsoft seemingly wants it. Unless they start to offer a stripped down release then I don’t see how it could compete with a Linux based OS going forward. (For handheld consoles).

  • Ironically, I think AI may prove to be most useful in video games.

Not to outright replace writers, but so they instead focus on feeding backstory to AI so it essentially becomes the characters they’ve created.

I just think it’s going to be inevitable and the only possible option for a game where the player truly chooses the story.

I just can’t be interested in multiple choice games where you know that your choice doesn’t matter. If a character dies from option a, then option b, c, and d kill them as well.

Realising that as a kid instantly ruined telltale games for me, but I think AI used in the right way could solve that problem, to at least some degree.

  • It’s ridiculous.

There’s one road near me and I usually count over 5 vehicles parked in the cycle lane when I go past.

idk how that can happen, I genuinely think the parking officers just ignore it these days.

They’d rather walk around the car parks checking vehicles than deal with actually troublesome parking.

  • Like it’s even stopping anyone at this point, see so many private ones out and about.

They are a nightmare on the roads (and pavement), government and councils desperately need to invest in some designated cycle/scooter paths.

And not these bullshit white lines that people park over and drive in constantly.

  • If people don’t watch, then there’s fundamentally no money to be given to the players. If you want money to be given to the player, you need to watch.

That’s how it works for women’s sports, and that’s how it works for men’s sports as well.

Pay for all athletes is dictated by the viewership they bring in, not their performance. WNBA players actually make disproportionately more relative to viewership.

You honestly talk like someone who’s never watched a sport in their life.

  • tbf, Caitlin Clark is the only WNBA player that’s profitable, and she’s kinda limited salary wise by the fact that the women’s league in general is not profitable and heavily subsidised by the NBA.

People will bitch about how the men’s league gets paid so much in comparison, then proceed to not watch the women’s league…

If you want it to make money YOU need to support it 🫵

  • But blind isn’t just a visual impairment?

It’s just a word that has two meanings, so stop trying to be offended about someone using the other meaning.

People just trying to be offended for the sake of it.
