I'm already looking for alternatives. I've closed walmart and amazon so far. Target requires you contact support. So that will take longer. I'm encouraging everyone I know, and posting here and on reddit encouraging everyone to vote with your wallet. Your money is all these goons care about.
I went with mailbox.org for mail, contacts, calendar. Keepass+syncthing for passwords. Still looking for VPN and file storage. I've been trying out nextcloud but there is a learning curve to host your own.
I've closed almost every account as well. I like Bluesky and PixelFed so far. As far as phones go, I'm just going to keep my same Android for now. It's old and I will not upgrade until I have to. I use fdroid for everything. I though of switching to Apple, but as you said, they are kissing the ring too. Sad times.
I'm in the deep south. it was 7 degrees this morning. This is not normal. Last summer was the hottest on record. The 2nd hottest was in 2023. The 3rd hottest, well you get the idea.
mailbox.org seems pretty good. No apps though. And setting up syncing for calendar and contacts takes a bit of work. but once it's working, it's good. I'm using thunderbird mobile for mail and DAVx5 to sync contacts and calendar.
I did not realize that. Im trying out Aegis and it seems like a good replacement so far.
