  • Where's that information? Because it's not in the link you posted.

  • No major news organisation has been given the opportunity to verify this footage. As such it should be treated sceptically until verified independently. The IDF have already been caught editing and altering video evidence, as demonstrated by the BBC.

But lets say it is unedited and is verified. What does it show? It shows Hamas operatives taking two injured hostages into a hospital. That's it. The IDF says "These findings prove that the Hamas terror organization used Shifa Hospital on the day of the massacre itself as terror infrastructure,”

Well, no, it doesn't. It shows that some Hamas terrorists used the hospital....as a hospital e.g. they took injured hostages into it. Just because terrorists make use of a location's facilities doesn't necessarily mean there was an extensive command post in or under the location.

The IDF have yet to demonstrate or provide anything credible to back up their claim the hospital was an extensive command post.

"The latest video is not yet the evidence that's been promised of the sort of vast and intricate operation depicted in a computer simulation which the IDF previously released showing what it believes any Hamas base underground at al-Shifa could look like."

    BBC

  • I thought you people had stayed on Reddit. Y'know, the people who live to say shitty things to people and then sulk when they get edited/removed/banned and blame it all on 'the hive mind' or 'group think' or some other sneering put down when the reality is simply that most people don't like shitty people saying shitty things.

  • Because as someone with an obscene amount of money, power and influence he needs to be scrutinised and his every word and action examined.

  • Elon: "100% free speech, always!"

MediaMatters: "Here's evidence Musk is an antisemite."

Elon: "I'm suing you for speaking freely!"

  • No, it absolutely does matter. And the reason it matters is because what the IDF claims has so far totally failed to match up with what it's shown. That's why people are so cynical. If they show evidence for their claims, evidence that can be independently verified by decent journalists, I'd be much more prepared to believe them.

  • In what sense are they pre-determined?

The IDF claimed the hospital was a major centre of Hamas operation. They've presented nothing to back that up except doctored videos and a few weapons. My view that the tunnel will probably not establish this thriving hub of Hamas activity the IDF said it was is not determined by anything other than the evidence, if you can even call it that, that the IDF have presented thus far and a suspicion that they'll doctor whatever they do (or more likely don't) find in that single tunnel.

  • I'm sure journalists will be allowed into the 'tunnel' after the IDF have been down there long enough to make the requisite changes.

  • As far as I'm aware, they found one dead hostage near, not at, the hospital, 1 vehicle with weapons, a film of a cache of weapons that BBC analysis showed had been edited and altered and 1 tunnel shaft.

Even if we take all that at face value (which the BBC analysis demonstrates we shouldn't), this is hardly the command centre of Hamas that the IDF has led us to believe was its reason for bombing a hospital.

  • Are you absolutely sure about this? They suspended access to, and later restored access to, 3 piracy related communities a few months ago because they weren't sure what their legal liability was. And being as instances are owned by individuals without access to teams of high priced legal teams, that seemed fair enough to me.

Also, .world servers are not in the US so why do you imagine any US law would be enforced there?

There's absolutely no mention of any of this on their Announcement community either.

  • Yaccarino responded later on Thursday, writing that X has been “extremely clear about our efforts to combat antisemitism and discrimination.”

To be fair, this is true. Elongated Muskrat is making it very clear what their efforts are.

  • Elon is slowly but surely tearing down everything he has created

    Bought.

  • And now you've added twisting peoples words to make yourself look better.

Have you considered a career as a landlord? Or a conservative politician? You're a natural fit.

  • Well done again. Your ability to come across as even more callous and ignorant than you already had is truly impressive.

  • It's rare to find a lack of empathy, intelligence together with ignorance in one single comment. Well done.

  • I totally applaud your efforts to find a solution to this issue but I don't think this is practicable, at least in it's current form. I get the underlying idea that changes to the extension will have to be continually adapted to by the scrapers but that'll slow them down for a negligible amount of time.

I don't mean to sound negative and I really do thank you for your efforts but I can't see how this could be effective.

  • Been using it for over a year now. The clients were a bit ropey for awhile but they're great now.

As for trust, only you can really answer that, but they tick all the right boxes for me - I can pay in a way that preserves my privacy, everythings open source and E2EE, they have good policies.
