What do you define as a "decent" WAN connection?

As someone with a telecommunications background who's taken apart some cheap routers that look like that: the only caveat I'll add is that the antennas are only useful if they're actually connected to anything. From a decently trustworthy brand you're probably fine, but I've seen a few where only one or two of the antenna couplings were connected to anything internally.

Nuclear bunkers are trendy amongst certain groups of very wealthy folks. It's not about actually being protected, it's about keeping up with the Joneses.

Fully agree! But let's not change them in a direction that also has known safety hazards.

There's a pretty major difference between a moral panic and pointing out that something is going to decrease safety. Most notably, those moral panics are often opposed to things that actually do make kids safer.

Sure, but we should do that independent of this. Schools need to start at least an hour later on standard time. On DST they need to start two hours later at least.

And when the content depends on access to millions of eyeballs that's not exactly a strong reason to continue making content.

Seriously. DST fucks with my sleep schedule so badly when I have to get up before sunrise...

If they're using the 2022 bill they're already fucking it up. Kids are going to be walking to school in the dark in winter and get hit by cars because they want to pretend that we're a few thousand miles east of where we actually are.
