The BBC has approached X for comment several times but was rebuffed with, among other things, a smiling poo emoji.

I like that reporters are leaving this fact in.

Imagine having some sensitive content of yours exposed on Twitter, you ask to get it removed... and get a poo emoji as a response 🤦‍♂️

Would be better to ask users on those sites directly, since we're only familiar with Lemmy here lol

Try Nitter/Squawker? I rarely visit the big sites directly anymore. Quite a few OSS web and mobile clients available

For Reddit there is Stealth which scrapes old.reddit, since reddit canned thirdparty apps

The default browser at my work is Firefox lol, only our testing team and a few others use Chrome. It's a pretty welcome change 👍

I find it a little funny when we get Chrome-specific bug reports though

The only LED bulbs I've replaced had failed within a few months of purchase, the rest have lasted almost a decade now 👌

I also have a incandescent bulb on a smart switch for my bedroom, it's seen A LOT of on/off cycles over the past 5/6 years but is still going strong. I dread replacing it when it fails, as the manufacturer is no longer in business...

I would throw money at Pine64 if I could, sadly right now I actually only need a new soldering iron so opted for their Pinecil.

I love that they take literally anything and make an open source variant: phone, ARM laptop, SBC, smart soldering iron, smart watch, IP camera, and even earbuds!

Kind of wish they could do a collab with Fairphone at some point... FP handle the fairtrade hardware sourcing and manufacture, and P64 handle the OSS firmware
