Had a meh day at work. Had to ask people to come in at least one day to the office just so I don't get shit for not enforcing the 3 day rule. (It's all about perception and some people were coming in 1 day a month and was getting comments from management)

A bit concerned about a friend of mine. We'd normally chat every day but they've been quiet since Saturday so have checked in with them to see if they're OK and no response... Hopefully will hear from them soon.

Ergh, I have been on seroquel. It did not work for me (and it didn't help my arsehat psychiatrist just kept upping the dose when I said it wasn't helping, then would up the antidepressants when I started feeling numb from the seroquel.)

I've known quite a few people/groups that are poly and I dated someone who was poly for a while too. I did it because I didn't feel like I had to deal with 100% of my partner because that would have crushed me.

My info is purely anecdotal but two super common threads that kept on appearing is there were people who were poly, but were never actually poly and just said it because their partner wanted to be so they said they were too and that the people who were super committed to poly all were trying to fill a gap in their lives and had a lot of insecurities in general.

Most hated the idea of ever being alone, not just in 'a relationship' but actually just being by themselves.

Yeah our last PM here in Australia was very religious and a useless prick (who had to hire an 'empathy coach' I shit you not) and thankfully people realised he was an idiot. Sadly most of our parties have drifted right over the last 50-odd years so even our Labour is further right than a lot of people are happy with, and the Liberals (with a big L, they're fiscal liberals but social conservatives) got their arses kicked last election. Greens have some support at least and some teeth to fight where they can but they're not terribly well organised.

But we do have issues with far-right groups popping up and the importing of terrible US ideology. There are SovCits, Neo-Nazi groups and very open racism from groups too. I've even heard a protest group chanting "Let's Go Brandon" because something something

Zombie Army 4 on XBox game pass. We're all... Not fantastic gamers so we stick to co-op only games these days out of fear of playing against younger and better gamers!

Gaming tonight (running in to this morning...) with a bunch of friends. Good to just shit-talk each other. Co-op games only since we're not... Good 😀

Date on Saturday night which I'm looking forward to! Forth date and the last one went super well. Divorced about 5+ years ago. A few dates since but no serious connections.... Also dating when older kinda sucks.

Cat owner here too. One of my cats is a pure-breed Maine Coon, the other is a domestic mid/long hair. They have never ever been outdoors cats (well, the latter was a stray so I guess she was?) but they're indoors kitties now. No issues at all, they have no interest to go outside. They are happy and content. I support indoors-only cats, and this is from someone who lives in a shoebox apartment.
