"admits" it was a ruse? No, it wasn't. He tried the same shit he pulled at Twitter and when it backfired, he made up a story about it just being a ruse. God, I hate it when the media enables the rewriting of history the new oligarch overlords feed them with.

I have a flip phone with a touchscreen so I can type via the onscreen keyboard. When I bought it I wondered how well it would work since the screen is so small, but it works great! So much easier than using the keypad. BTW it also has maps with voice navigation.

By "contactless pay" I assume you're talking about paying by using a smartphone app? Obviously I don't care about that because the whole point of my post is that I'm not using a smartphone, so obviously I have no apps of any kind.

But if by "contactless pay" you meant paying with your debit card by tapping it or holding it near the card reader, yes they do have that like everyone else.

I use a dumbphone. I'm not buying a smartphone just so I can play these stupid games, and I'm not installing an app for every fucking business I interact with. I realize there will one day be a point where I won't be able to do things I need to do without one, but until then I have no desire for one. Fortunately they haven't made the parking meters here require a smartphone yet.

My grocery store still uses loyalty cards for most discounts (which is irritating enough), but also has "digital coupons" that require an app so I can't get that. Theoretically I could go to their website and print them off but that's not worth the effort. I have to pay close attention to the price signs they put up because some of them say "with digital coupon" in small print, meaning "not for you, bitch". You know who doesn't pull this kind of shit? Walmart. So I wind up getting a lot of my groceries there so as not to be discriminated against.

If they aren't stopped, it's only a matter of time before women won't be able to own property, take loans or have credit in their names, and maybe even have bank accounts in their own name. Only men will be able to file for divorce. etc, etc.

FreeTube is great! I'll wait for the normal release which is soon enough for me--when these things happen I just check it every so often, knowing they'll figure out how to fix it like they always do.

Maybe not, even probably not, but with Europe's help it can at least keep fighting for now, with the possibility that something could happen in US or Russia to change the equation in that time. That's all very uncertain, but what is certain is that if Europe agrees to this Putin/Trump terms of surrender, it's over for Ukraine immediately. And then other countries will be next.

Fuck him. First, he'll do what we wants regardless of whether you concede to his demands. If we wants to withdraw troops, he'll withdraw them, no matter what concessions you make to him in hopes of preventing that. Look at his history. Look at how he has treated the other party in Every. Single. One. of the "deals" that he's made. He fucks them over. NEVER believe he'll hold up his side of whatever bargain you make. He won't.

Don't ever concede to this bully. The more you concede, the more demands he'll make, like with a blackmailer. Call his bluff. Say, "Sorry, we don't agree. If that means you'll withdraw, then don't let the screen door hit ya where the good lord split ya on the way out." Bam! End of bullying and if he didn't want to withdraw, he'll find some excuse no to go through with it (or probably just lie and say you agreed to do something for him behind the scenes).

Or maybe make things worse.

I'm having the same issue on Freetube, it pops up and says it can't play the video because Youtube requires being signed in. Sometimes if I retry a couple of time it'll play, but usually keeps getting the same error. Freetube is great though, maybe they'll come up with a solution soon.
