  • I've got the update waiting to be installed. I read the reviews and haven't installed it. But it nags me every few hours.

  • I used to browse Reddit from /r/all and I posted a comment on what I later realised was /r/conservative. I was subsequently banned from 20+ subs. They have bots checking subs they don't like and collectively ban contributors to those subs.

  • God damn it. I chose minio for my S3 implementation. I wonder if there is a migration path to garage...

  • I find this to be a very cultural thing as to whether it's acceptable or not. Where I live cats roam the streets, if an American visited here they would be horrified.

  • Holy shit this is dark.

    saves to phone

  • Thank you I get it!

  • Is this real? You can get woken up in the middle of the night to get moved to a new room? I'd say fuck off

  • Oh my god Lemmy is on FIRE and /c/memes is going wild. I haven't laughed this much in ages.

  • I find language in songs has taken a turn for the worse in the last 15 years or so. It was rare and nuance to hear a swear word in songs when I was young. I know I'm being an old man here btw 😂

But now Spotify with it's "explicit" tag shows that most popular songs have swearing now. Music tends to influence society greatly and I find that now swearing is just common place and I think we're worse off for it.

Listening to the radio, with the song having the swearing muted makes it hilarious as there are so many gaps in the lyrics.

  • What CPU?

The list of unsupported CPUs is for OEMs licensing new computers as Windows 11 certified.

Nothing stopping you installing Windows 11 or upgrading to Windows 11 with an incompatible CPU.

The only item that requires a hack is the lack of TPM. Now that I still don't understand.

Also, Office by default installs with licensing configured per machine but can be installed so it is licensed per user.

  • I'm being lazy and not looking this up but I'm interested in knowing what made 7 less accessible?

  • What you quoted says "paid time off"

Edit: TIL that PTO means different in the US. Thanks for the explanations and downvotes 👍

  • The article says it is paid....

  • They should get fined for being ambiguous and be forced to call it what it is.
